Hi Nigel...apologies for not reporting my progress, i realise that it could be used as the others for plotting how banks are defending themselves...i have done the following: 1. Sent first letter requesting statements---recieved all plus 4 yrs on microfiche 2. Sent request for charges after going through them all. I also included a listing of the dates of the charges and the total. 3 RECIEVED an initial letter from Abbey acknowledging my compliant. 4 Then I recieved the letter with the gesture of goodwill. 5 Sent rejection including the details of the intention of Court Proceeedings. I started on the 21 october 2006. Chris

Hi I started my claim in October of this year for £1474 in charges. I recieved a GOGW from Abbey last week for £475. I have rejected it and returned a letter to them telling them that this is not what I asked for...obviously. I have given 10 days for them to reply. I presume now they will reply stating that its court time. Is anyone at this particular stage? thanks Chris

driving without insurance is not a criminal offence . you do not get a criminal conviction..and it is not classed as a crime by the police..trust me.. I know...work it out..thanks -
You will be glad to know that Santa has my request for the "Traffic Signs manual " especially the special edition version which covers the width of the legality of hairs when split. Come on you are totally missing the point of my arguement, which is not in any manual or code book. It is simply that you must be responsible for your actions. The mere fact the starter of this thread knew there were lines there (and they must be there for a reason..hmmm is it a bit dangerous for me to park here? I see those lines but they are a bit faint) and didnt bother to consider the dangers. The lines werent faded beyond recognition coz he knew immediatly they were DYL!!!!You ' inthelooforinfo' are hiding behind text book geek speak because you have a lack of the grasp of seeing the bigger picture. In other words ill try and trick people into thinking im right by quoting from the saddest book Ive got. BOTTOM LINE I GOT A TICKET I DIDNT THINK BEFORE I PARKED MY CAR I MUST PAY THE COST..instead of trying to blame someone else...be a man and admit it..thats not in any book! Ill tell you something you are knackered morally if you park on DYL that are faded and you cant find a magic T bar but because your car is there and an accident is caused of a serious nature, no clap trap book quoting is gonna save you then from yourself and conscience...this is not directed at the original poster just 'inthelooforinfo' coz he needs a lesson in how the world works. This sight covers fantastic matters were we are genuinly hard done...parking tickets is adifferent matter...people just dont wanna pay up when they cock up.

do me a favour! take some responsibility. The postings about and the info about reclaiming bank charges is great. In that respect We are being hard done to by an organisation(s). When it comes to trying to get off on parking tickets, the individual is responsible , as in this case, and they are simply trying to get off with it OR not take their own responsibility. Stone me, personal attack? get real. People don't like it when they cant offload the blame onto someone else...simple. -

You sound like a dangerous driver to me....maybe its safer if you dont drive when:- a. you didn't know you went through a red light? b. you where speeding. c. you admit to speeding d. you admit to speeding through an amber light ( it must have been at least amber for it to have been red in the end) e. You dont know it is an offence to go through an amber light. f. You arent keeping an eye on the traffic lights g you aren't keeping an eye on your speedo f. YOU HAVE ONLY JUST GOT A FULL LICENCE Use the bus:eek: -
Yes but...DY lines a placed in areas where it is dangerous to park. Just because you have parked on DYL that are vague or washed out does not negate the fact that you maybe a dnager to other road users or pedestrians. Drivers who get tickets get them for a reason . You need to be aware at all times and responsible for where you leave your car..God help you if you leave it on washed out lines just because they are washed out and someone gets seriously injured beacuse of your car.
