Hi Pink poppy First off dont worry, you will not be going to prison. The bailiff is just trying to scare you into making a payment to his charity, eg his pocket. Phone the council and find out how much you owe on your bill, dont tell them why as they dont need to know. Do this this morning. Do not let the baillif into your house, talk to him from an upstairs window or just ignore him, he might throw some toys out of his pram but do we care, no we dont. Keep all doors and windows locked, as he has the right to gain peacefull entry through an unlocked door or window. If you have a car, move it away from the house as he can levy on it even if you are not there. He can only charge you for two visits if he does not levy on anything, a maximum of £42.50. Dont forget. Do not let him enter your house. Good luck.
