  1. Hi there, Do I have to speak to them on the phone about a payment plan, or can I deal with them in writing? Thanks
  2. Hi There, I sent them a email last night saying that I was disappointed that interest was still being added to the account. I got a response this morning saying that I needed to contact them by phone to make a payment arrangement, if I didn't then the debt would be passed to a third party for collection. So my response was: "As I send before, I will only negotiate in writing (which I am well within my rights to do so) and I'm am still willing to make a payment arrangement for the balance of £517.00. As you have failed to respond to my SAR letter, I will now be making a complaint to the Information Commissioner, Trading Standards the Financial Ombudsman and the FLA about this matter." I hope this is the right reply to send to them. I think that the SAR was sent on the 23rd March. Any advice? Many thanks
  3. HELP!HELPHELP! Ok, here's an update for you. I've just logged on to wonga and found that the balance is £1477.00, even though I sent them a SAR at the back end of March and they've ignored it!!! What do I do I? I'm really scared!!!! Any advice would be grateful! Many thanks
  4. Hi, Has anyone got any advice on this please? Thanks
  5. Hi, Me and my wife took stupidly took out a £400 loan with Wonga back in December 2008. We missed the repayment date in January. According to them we now owe £946.00!! I have been emailing them to say that we can afford to pay £100 per month starting from March 30th via standing order and the reply I get is to call them as they can only arrange payment arrangements over the phone and everytime I have replied saying that I will only deal with them in writing. The loan agreement is in my wife's name, however they've got my mobile number (Basically I've been dealing with them via email as my wife would rather me deal with them as she's frightened they might push her into a corner) and they have now started to call from random numbers (including mobile numbers) asking to speak to her three times a day plus we are now receiving texts asking for us to call them, but I have made my excuses and told them that she isn't around. So last week I sent a SAR letter along with the cheque for £10.00, and today I sent them the letter f(rom another Wonga forum) telling them not to call us or to send a doorstep collector. Where do we go from here? Do we start paying £100 from the end of the month or shall we wait for the SAR reply? Also, randomly found out today that Wonga address at Crawford Street, London is going to Cameron Daurm?? Anyone else come across this? What do I do if they call again, shall I tell them that no conversation will happen on the phone with my wife? and do we start paying the £100 from 30th March? Many thanks
  6. Thanks - So shall I tell them that I expect the extra £30 to be deducted from my balance by email as well?
  7. Hi, I stupidly took out a £100 loan with these in December last year. Basically I had to roll over the loan for a couple of months as I couldn't afford to pay. I checked my bank statement yesterday and found they have taken out two lots of £30.00 from my debit card(extension fee) on the 4th and 10th March. I called them yesterday afternoon and was told that the 'accounts department' would email me back within a couple of hours to let me know what happened. However, I still haven't heard from them, so I put another call into them this morning and was told an email was sent. So I asked to speak to them and the guy told me they couldn't do that and yet again I was told someone would email me back within 30 minutes (Still nothing!) I'm worried about this as they've got my debit card details! Any advice please would be really helpful. Thanks
  8. Hi there, I took out a loan from Wonga in December 2008 for £400. They have now worked out the debt to be £946.00! There is absolutely no way I'm going to pay this. Reading this thread, I think I'll also send them Subject request letter. Is it also worth me complainng to the FSA? Thanks
  9. Hi Slick, I addressed the Claim to Barclaycard, Northampton which I filed back in October. I compiled the chart on moneysavingexpert.com. Is this right?
  10. Just to give you an update - I received an order from MCOL saying 'The Claimant's letter stands as an application for leave to lift the stay'. and it looks like it been transferred to my local county court. So what happens now? Do I need to do anything? Do you think that Barclaycard might cough up? Thanks
  11. Thank you for the advice - I emailed and sent the letter via post today. Does this mean the judge will look again at this case? Do you think I will still have a chance of winning?
  12. Hi there, Will I need to get this to Northampton Court today? Is it worth me pressing ahead with this? If I 'm being told that I will have to wait until the office of fair trade descision. Sorry, I 'm worried now that this might bite me!! Thanks Gary
  13. Hi Jogs, Thanks for this - How do I get the stay lifted? As I've logged in and it says: 'unable to take any further action online on this claim. The Defendant disputes the whole amount you have claimed. Your claim cannot proceed online and will be transferred to the appropriate court for continuation. You will receive confirmation to where the claim has been transferred to shortly.' What does this mean? Do I go to my local court? Also, do I have to do this by tomorrow? Thanks
  14. Hi there, Basically, I'm claiming over £1100 worth of charges from Barclaycard dating back over six years. I've gone through the step by step guide as advised on this site. There is around £400 owing on this card by me. The first reply from Barclaycard came back to me saying they pay this back to me to clear the account. But I refused this and decided to go ahead and claim the full £1172.00. However, I wet through the process on moneyclaim olnine and now I have something come back from the court saying that: '1.Following the filing of a defence or holding defence the claim shall be stayed in the Office of Fair Trading test case. 2. Liberty to apply with a explanation.' Then it goes onto say that 'A party affected by this order may under rule 3.3(5) apply to have it set aside varied or stayed within 7 days of service of this order.' My first question is: What does this mean? Can I appeal? Also, I thought the the office of fair trading decision was for bank account charges, not Credit Cards?! Also, it says I have seven days to apply (Which is up tomorrow!) Advice please? Many thanks!
  15. Ok thanks. I'll post further details when I get a response.
