  2. The only info I could pick up on why the MD and co-founder left TFC. It is a cached page via google. It appears they are feeling the pinch. Nevermind  MD leaves as funder stops all non-motor lending The managing director of The Funding Corporation (TFC), Jim Rowley, has left the company which he co-founded. A company spokesperson would not comment on the reasons for Rowley's departure. The independent finance house, which previously offered asset finance and block discounting services to corporate clients, is believed to have shut its doors to all new non-motor business entirely. Only non-prime finance division ACF Car Finance continues to accept new contracts, in a market favourable to funders which target non-prime borrowers. TFC's website would appear to support this conclusion, as it makes no mention of funding provision for any assets other than vehicles, including caravans. Further rumours that its financial backer Barclays Capital had pulled the plug on its funding line were denied by a representative from the bank. TFC was set up by former senior employees of Capital Bank Motor with backing from well-known motor industry entrepreneur Bob Edmiston, founder of the IM Group, which imports cars from the Far East. It recently grew its presence in debt management and recovery, launching Red2Black Collections, a wholly-owned subsidiary, which replaced its former brand CollectOne Ltd. Nick Cherry is the director and general manager of Red2Black, while Chris Ryan, the former collections head at Citigroup, was recently appointed to the post of divisional manager. 3. If you ever wanted to know what Nick Cherry looks like I kid you not CLIC Sargent - Caring for Children and Young People with Cancer : New Charity of the Year Partnership Announced :lol:
  4. Thought I will just update this thread. TFC have said that they will settle the case if I pay them £1250 and they will class the default notice as settled. They claim I owe them about £2400. I will only settle for this figure if they remove the default totally. They are refusing at present but they are not known to be a smart firm. As stated on the http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/vehicle-retailers-manufacturers/52549-funding-corp-worst-company-12.html thread they do seem to be in dire straights.
  5. Still does not appear that TFC have secured further funding. From the December figures they have a total of £22million left in the loan kitty. They only lend out about £2million a month now compared to about £8million back in september 2006. The kitty was at about £150million back then. The cattles group (Welcome finance) are known to be struggling to seek finance so I bet TFC will be even more so. What a shame.:lol: Just noticed that Jim Rowley (managing director) no longer working for TFC. He was one of the orginal lot that started up TFC. Did he walk/run or pushed? Things not looking good
  6. I would. They have defaulted me for £315 on just one failed DD. My case is still on hold at the court though.
  7. I have had a look at their accounts which are posted on their website. I am no accountant but comparing ther latest figures to the ones in the previous year it appears that their account balances are slashed. The last number of months the figures have declined rapidly from last year. Just hope that my very humble knweldge in accountancy is correct :-D:-D:-D
  8. Just for info. The Funding Corp website is up and running. It had been down for a long time. I thought I would have a look at their job section. Due to the current economic issues I did not think there would be any jobs. I was wrong. There are TWO jobs on their site: Complaints Officer – Permanent The second one?????? Complaints Officer – Temporary :grin::grin::grin: We must be doing something right.
  9. Charge him. £70. If he doesn't pay up £20 additional charges every month with 40% interest added. He better take out a PPI just in case he gets sacked from his self employed job. Please be advised criminal you will get 15 calls a day if you dont pay up within 30 seconds. A lot more resonable terms than The Funding Corporation.
  10. Just to update....the case was stayed until the bank charge case is cleared up
  11. Shammy I cannot comment on the legalities, there should be someone who will help you out on here. I advise you to do a search on the forums as the question may have been answered but I think under a BoS they can take the car without a court order If you do keep getting phone/letters email all of the below (ignore the spaces in the email addresses) everytime they make contact from hotmail/yahoo accounts etc. They may ban your email account but set up another one. Eventually they will stop. Make sure that you write down dates/times of when they called. They are breaking the law if they keep on harassing you. 12. All the best Andy, I will be eagerly waiting for you to post the outcome. I have just done a google seach on them again and found out Asda uses them for their customers loans. So I have contacted asda to inform them what type of company they use and told them I will not be shopping with them again until they change company - in a very polite manor. ASDA If you fancy doing the same the link is above? I know it is very small thing and have very little impact but....
  13. I have had a number of defualt notices from them. Got an oustanding claim against this company however they probably have not defaulted your credit file just markedthe payments as being late.
  14. Good luck with the case. I have one outstanding for harassment, charges and credit file issues with them. It has been stayed pending the OFT case. That could take a long time.
