  1. Well in all the time since it changing from payment card to receipts I haven't received a statement from them & to be honest the way BAYV word things it probably wouldn't make any sense. I think a letter to them may be in order asking for an update on my account. I have all my contracts so I can work out roughing what is owing & I am sure a member of the family who is an accountant can work it all out for me. I will be so glad when I can finally close the door on this company for the last time, I am putting £6 a day in the meter & get back roughly £60 per month but they still won't change the setting on my meter even to to an extra hour.
  2. I am curious to know why the payment cards which detailed each purchase & the amount owing where replaced by just a receipt? I for one am not happy about this & would like a proper record of payments & what the balance owing is each time my collector calls.
  3. I have been a customer for a a few years now & have noticed a pattern forming with them. When I have paid off the 2 3rds of my purchase agreement they start bombarding me with phone calls asking me to buy something.I had a manager ring me 3 times pestering, the first time he rang he just said you can have something else so what do you want, I was that shocked I could barely speak & just told him nothing off the top of my head so he said I will ring back tomorrow which he did & again the day after. I then started getting the letters & the brochures & then the collector started pestering. I am not going to buy anything from them again, they want me to buy any thing so I will have to have a new agreement which will make everything I have bought from them stay there property no matter longer how long I have had it. I bought a tv 5 yrs ago & my lovely collector that has now left informed me that because I bought something else 2 years ago just before my agreement ended BAYV still own the TV. Before Christmas I wanted a X Box for my grandson, I was asked to buy something else instead as they couldn't add it to my existing account as it can only be purchased over a short term. Why would I want something else instead just to add it to the agreement? Thats when it clicked I was nearing the 2 3rds mark where they will have to take me to court to get there goods back. As for the recommend a friends leaflets I get the only recommendations I will be giving is Stay Away from them.
  4. Not sure if I can paste sites here so I apologise in advance to the mods. Try reading this link, it may answer your questions. Baillifs Power To Enter Home House Property
  5. If you have only had the goods 8 weeks then you are breaking your terms of contract & they are well within there rights to take the goods back. They can't just enter your property but they can get a court order to allow a bailiff to enter your property to retrieve there goods. If you have no intentions of paying then you need to return the goods as they don't belong to you.
  6. Dizzy duck I am a bit confused. If your payment day was a Saturday & you paid Friday you either paid a week in advance or towards the end of the payment week which means that paying on the Saturday would in affect put you a week behind incurring the last payment fee. From what I remember with BH the new week started on a Saturday so if you were paying the Friday before the next payment date then they are in the right by charging you a late fee. If you do pay Friday in advance it should say on your receipt that you have yellow money & BH would automatically take that if you miss a payment or its late. BH are in there rights to demand payment or the goods back, as you haven't paid & refuse to pay all it is doing is incurring you more late fees. In all honesty I would either pay what they are demanding or return the goods unless like I say you were paying in advance then you need to ask them why they are asking for late payment fees when your account is in credit.
  7. Get in touch with occupational therapy, they will come to you & help fill the forms in then send them off for you.
  8. I receive incapacity benefit & disability living allowance, I am worried as my review for IB is due soon & I have agraphobia & don't go out. Last time they made me attend the medical & it was very traumatic so I don't think I can do it this time. I recently had a medical from my DLA & the doctor came to me but they won't use the results of that medical for my IB renewal. Have you claimed DLA, you can claim income support on top of this as its not a means tested benefit?
  9. Wow Annie you have had it rough with them haven't you. I don't really know what to suggest but I am sure someone will be able to advise you. Is there anything you have that you could return to bring your payments down, they will save it for you as you know but to be honest I wouldn't have kept getting more stuff off of them if everything you were getting was faulty. Good luck with it Annie, I am so glad I don't have to worry about BH anymore & even though my hubby has just been made redundant I certainly won't be going back to them, ever.
  10. Hi Annie, welcome to the site, just take your time & just say it the best way you can, we all started somewhere & we like to help each other if we can.
  11. They try the bully tactics cause they know if it has to go to court the court will make them accept minimum payment or even write it off. I got intouch with my local council & they sent a debt advisor out to see me, she wrote to everyone I owed money to & got them to reduce payments, she wouldn't allow me to be bullied. the council are trying to clamp down on companies exploiting people as tenants are getting behind with there rent & council tax to pay the bullies.
  12. I would take some photos of the sticker on the back & go back to the shop & tell them you aren't paying full price for a refurbished cooker & you want it for the same price as the one you signed for.
