  1. The arrangement was made at the first court hearing in October 2011 an extra payment each month. I was told I would need to go back in April however the mortgagee did not attend on that date.
  2. My mortgage company have said that the payment I am making is not enough and that I need to make an arrangement with them. I made an arrangement at Court so I am getting rather confused. Any advice? Please? Their admin assistant also said I can be taken back to court but the court papers said liberty to restore? I am getting a bit stressed about this.
  3. Thank you very much. My mortgage company did not bother to attend court or indeed let me know they were not attending. I am relieved. Thanks again.
  4. Can any one help with a court document wording - matter adjourned with liberty to restore regarding mortgage. How long does it stay on file as it does not give a time limit.
  5. I was taken to court and the charges have been added to my mortgage account. Is this right? The case has been suspended. I was not aware are that these charges were added and I am also being charged a monthly fee even though I came to an arrangement at court. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply Leah. I do not feel comfortable putting down what I owe etc on here particularly as NRAM may theirselves read these threads. I cannot afford the payment required plus any extra. I paid a reduced amount as agreed by Northern Rock for a year and when that came to an end I explained I could not afford what they were asking for. Eventually after being hounded I paid the required amount only to then be told they wanted the arrears that had accrued paid as well. Sorry to be so downbeat but unfortunately I am not fareing well.

I have a court date for a possession order. Can anyone tell me what the likelihood of getting the payments reduced by the Judge are? Will NRAM be looking for me to pay the required monthly amount plus extra for arrears? I paid the required amount in August and when telephoning to fix September's payment was told that it had already been passed to solicitors for court action. I am stressed by all of this and I feel I should not even attend the court date as I am sure the monthly amount will not be lowered. Any advice much appreciated.
  8. In 2009 I transferred to Northern Rock they gave me a mortgage well over what I could afford but I needed to change for various reasons. Two months after taking the new mortgage I was made redundant. I continued to pay the mortgage but in 2009 my new employment did not pay as much and Norther Rock changed the interest rate for a year. However they now have upped the payment which is more than it was previously due to my taking a lower interest rate for the past year. I am not going to be able to pay. What are the chances does anyone know of them letting me have a variable rate (2 years left on the fixed one)? Interestingly if I could move mortgage they would not charge early redemption fee but I cannot get a mortgage at the amount I have as it is too much for normal lenders (I did explain the Northern Rock this point). Anyone help? Thanks.
  9. I am in a similar situation it is better to talk to them directly as they can arrange repayment by instalments. Good luck.
  10. Just a quick up-date have sent a long letter awaiting reply - will post outcome
  11. Sorry it was a reconsideration and not an appeal.
  12. It was a renewal claim. It was at the stage when you are put on it indefinitely. They changed the rates to low on each part at end of March. A letter of appeal was sent and it was reinstated at the beginning of April to medium rate care and high rate mobility. Three weeks later they have changed it to low rate mobility and no care. and put it back to indefinite. Surely they cannot change it after 3 weeks. Thanks for helping.
  13. The decision is made on completely the opposite of what was filled in - it says based on your clam form your gp and advice from a care professional. He was in receipt of mobility middle and care middle - he has mental health issues - everything they say he can do he cannot - aware of common danagers not at risk of aggressive behaviour not at risk of self neglect and not at risk of falling - I am so made he has serious problems. His GP a few years back filled the form in wrong on this occasion it was appealed end of March and reinstated and now at 16 April they have changed it again. Thanks for helping.
