  1. The Statutory Instrument covering DY's are The tRaffic Signs Regulatiosn and General Directions 2002 DY's covered specifically by drawing 1018.1 interestingly item 4 clearly states there there are no permitted variants, so in my perosnal view if the lines are not solid, and of the correct dimensions then to htye do no texist in law and are uneforceable. The ticket being talked about here i assume for parking on double yellows, if the ticket had been issued for dangerous parking then that may have been a different matter.
  2. It is pretty much a straightforward exercise really. A little dissapointed that it didn't go to court, would of loved to have won on principle, but hey ho a cave in is a cave in at the end fo the day. Best of luck with your claims.
  3. Offer of settlement in full yesterday. Not fully closed as yet as i am requesting clairification on payment, so the claim remains until such time as they pay me in my required method. If they don't like it then i may well amend my claim go the whole hog, they have til Friday lunctime to comnfirm they will be meeting my requiremnts in full. Did not amend the claim in the end, court returned the papers saying the wrong form was used. Basically cannot be arsed arguing anymore the settlement figure offered is well in line with what i need, plus i have my visa and savings account in the early stages. I will be applying contractual rate of interest to future claims, plus i am thinking that delivery of my statements is not going to happen within the 40 days so will be taking steps to deal with that as and when necessary. All in all i'm more than happy with the result.
  4. Maybe smif gets travel sick and don't like moving around too much.
  5. Looks like three f's smif has a lot on his plate. Wait til he starts dealing with me. i have a little surpise for him when he sends me his first smart assed letter. Until you know who you are dealing with tread very carefully, lots of cow pats awaiting. Oh i am going to enjoy this.
  6. I guess the issue is what exactly we want to get out of this, and hwo far we want to go. If the complaint is about about the manner in which they do thier stuff (i hate to call it business) then perhpas we coudl do a mass complaint to the OFT and FOS. Whilst niether organisation may wish or have the resources to tackle the issue on an individual basis surely they could if presented with a very detailed group of complaints presented as a super complaint then have the grounds to act. Citi are clearly out to frustrate and delay all claims as far as possible. They need to be shown the power of the consumer, they need to be slapped around and bullied by our legal system and shown they are not invicnible or above the law. The sooner the better in my humble opinion.
  7. Citi cards are on my hitlist, so beware Citi i'm comign for you. I wont be put off by soem of the spiel you put out, i wont be hounded and harrassed anymore by you. My accoutn was sold on paid off in full and final settlement ages ago, now it is my turn to do unto others as they unto you. Bring it on i am indeed ready and waiting......
  8. I sent my LBA before the 14 day deadline as they replied to the orignal request. So yep if i were in your shoes i would send it out now.
  9. Haven't seen arrangement fees before, so i would guess these are a service and not reclaimable. As for the others yes; i claimed and they paid.
  10. Oh dear, they are happy to go to court are they? Well why not make them happy then and send them the jolly old LBA and remind them of the 14 day timetable, then fiel a claim. Go to court my ass if they were that keen they would have gone before now.
  11. Good luck with the claim. Frightening amount of charges for such a short space of time, you would though take time off work wouldnt you, all your fault then as the banks would have been more than willing to help you out and give a bit of leeway (NOT). They are amazing in handling customers who face unforeseen and unavoidable problems, a great opportunity for them to bleed you dry and make you pay for your misfortune. Go get em
  12. This is one for the experts i think, i cant find a thread either with the nitty gritty on it. perhaps we could have a detailed explanation of how the system works and what we can do about it. I dont have an issue yet, but likely to be in the same boat with GE money when i get around to tackling them.
  13. If it were me i would still be chuckling, dont let them dictate what happens next, the timetable is now yours and they follow your lead. No doubt they migh thave soemthing to say if they fail to meet the deadline fo rthe LBA, hopefully a 100% offer to repay. If not looks like another claim being put in. Of course how you handle this is entirely up to you, but i personally would avoid discussing this over the phone, calls to HSBC have been known not to have taken place, and you basically have no record of what was said. I did tell HSBC i woudl not discuss my claims other than in wiritng, in the hope that clarity was then available to all parties in this matter. They have not rung me since to discuss my account.
  14. Your request for refund will look far more effective if you are specific abo0ut what you are claining back. I assume you have trawled youre statements and reached a fugure?
  15. In extactly the sam epositon as you. Could be the latest ply by FD to dleay sending out the staement until the very last minute, lets hope they don't miss the boast, i have absolutely no qualms about issuing a complaint 2 minutes after time is up if they havent delivered. They have acknowledged the request, so they aint getting any further notice from me on this. If they want to play silly games that is all well and good by me, then games we shall play.
