  1. We recently applied to Hertfordshire Highways to have the kerb dropped in front of our house. We live at the end of a cup-de-Sac and have more than enough room to accommodate two cars on the drive area. Approx drive dims are 7m wide by 6.8m depth. Two houses to the left of us already have drives which barely fit single car in. We have a parking space in front of the house at a 45deg angle which would require removing. The pavement is approximately 1.2m depth with a water isolation valve in the middle. The reason we applied for parking is, it can be very difficult to park in the city-de-sac and we are fed up of parking the cars out of sight. It would seam reasonable to me that removing one parking space from the road to allow two cars to park off road would not only benefit us but our neighbours too. When filling out the forms they suggested there would not be an issue with the process. I have received and email that I can not respond to and I fell once my concerns have been aired they may change their minds. The process has been very frustrating so far and is far beyond easy to get the council to do much more than make me wait. I would be great full for any help anyone could kindly give me. Thank you in advance. Paul
