I recently checked my credit score and noticed a default of £13,500 against my name from Hoist Portfolio Group. I knew nothing about this so questioned this with Hoist, they confirmed that the DOB and address they had were not mine and it seemed like the default was not mine. They agreed to remove this and advised me that my credit report would show clear on the next refresh. This was over a year ago and despite several calls to Hoist, Robinson Way, Noddle credit and many more it is still showing and now has resulted in me being declined for a loan with my own bank. Noddle credit say that the address is linked to my name, this is true as I rented a room in the property but have no links with this loan and they have no paperwork from Santander who the loan was for showing my details either. I now do not know what to do, when I contact Hoist they say they have already removed the default but Noddle claim this is not the case - please help as we are soon wanting a mortgage and I certainly will not be approved with this against my name.
