  1. Thanks dx, I know I really should stop worrying. They haven't emailed for a few weeks (after sending one every 6 days for a 6 week period). Thanks again for your help.
  2. Hello again, Sorry to bring up an older thread - looking at moneyadviceservice and other similar forums to this I've seen a few examples of MMF defaulting people years and years after they purchased the debt. This debt was sold to MMR from The Loan Store in 2012. I'm just wondering if I should pay them off (it pains me to do so). The money isn't really an issue it's just that they've hounded me for years and I don't want them defaulting me just as I'm buliding up a good credit history and am completely debt free? Any advice would be welcome.
  3. Checked current and historic credit reports on there nothing at all. Odd. OC never defaulted, not sure if the loans dodgy fees and aggressive collection strategy might be a factor in this? Think I'm going to ignore it all and then raise it with the relevant authorities if they go down the default or credit report route?
  4. Nothing on my credit reports on checkmyfile or noddle, I have an old Equifax at home which it may be on (I'm 90% sure it wasn't) - does this mean they could place one on there now?
  5. Thanks for moving this and your response, I don't believe either of them have ever actually defaulted which is where my query lies with MMF. Are they likely to try and default it in 2016 leaving me without a hope of a mortgage for another 6 years? The other one has been sold and fees added countless times in the past 5 years so I am not worried as I know there's not a hope in hell that'll stand up.
  6. Hi all, I hope you get this sorted lolavix. I have been receiving similar threats to yourselves, only just recently they have come back being quite aggressive with their collection plan. Two emails and two letters a week for the past month. Motormile claim they are collecting on a loan they purchased from The Loan Store in 2012 - can they default on this if they are not the original lender? Should I be worried regarding this, I was stupid in the past but have had a clean credit history for the past 5 years and don't want this coming back to haunt me. It is only around a £300 debt but I don't want to pay them off due to the principle really. As an aside (new here not sure where to post?) I have recently had BPO Collections and now United Kash sending me the below - the original lender was Payday UK/Tooth Fairy/NDR/MArshall Hoares - the loan was for a few hundred pounds and now sits at a lovely £4500+. " This letter has been sent to you in respect to an outstanding amount due, originally issued by MCO Capital Limited (Trading as PayCheckCredit). We assume that this matter is an oversight on your behalf and request that you call United Kash and pay the amount due £4,000 If you wish to get into contact to discuss your loan, please call United Kash Limited on 01473372210 or email customerservice@unitedkash If you are experiencing financial difficulties we urge you to contact us so that we can gain an understanding of your current situation and consider the most appropriate action to take.
