Hello, Me and a friend were caught shoplifting in April. Yes we did wrong and have not done so since. I've been reading the advice given on the previous threads about ignoring the letters which is what I have been doing but I have different questions which haven't come up so far. The lastest letter has 'reduced' the fee £180 to £95 and after this letter they will pass it on to a debt collector and have no further correspondence with me. RLP I know have no powers but is there any information on the debt company they use? I haven't seen any information about that and if I knew what had happened to someone else I'd feel less anxious about it. Who are the debt company? What powers do they have? Will they just send letters like RLP or will they send someone to my address? All and any answers are most appreciated.
