  1. I did ask but was told no need as he assures me the ticket is cancelled. Can pop in tom and ask. The fact that he said had 6 to cancel today would suggest to me that they are at it but that's just my opinion.
  2. TICKET CANCELLED!! Spoke with the manager yesterday, something I should have done much earlier on, if I hadnt been told by the assistant that they couldnt do anything for me on day one I would have.. Apparently he had half a dozen to deal with today! Cheeky JAS. A big big thank you to all those that contributed, I have learned much and am very grateful for the time you have given. All the best LA.
  3. By them, you mean JAS? My point was not to appeal to them with any hope of cancellation but to get the POPLA code but ok. I was unaware of PoFA I will investigate this further. I did leave the site as stated in post #1 do you mean officially I did not or I should deny? You did say write to head office and I drafted a letter above for feedback. Do you think the draft above is ready to send as is? Many thanks.
  4. I have done nothing but read for the last 3 days. There is a lot to take in for a first timer. The important thing for me is to get this sorted ASAP, waiting another month and then having to spend many more hours reading and drafting is too time consuming for me at the moment. One way to resolve this quickly would seem to me to act now get the POPLA code ASAP and try and resolve this matter with them. I have re-read this thread and at no point has anyone offered a very real benefit to waiting for the NTK. Maybe you could expand? Of course I happy to follow the advice offered, after all that is why I am here, and I am grateful but I don't want to follow blindly.
  5. Thanks Canon, I just rang and spoke to the manager and will pop in on Monday to see what she can do. In the meantime I feel there is no real benefit for me to wait for the NTK and feel it best to just to prepare an appeal to JAS for Monday so it arrives by Wednesday which is my 'deadline'. Anyone able to help me knock up an appeal letter letter to JAS for my circumstances? I will start to draft something up but if there is a recommended template that I could tweak I would be forever grateful.
  6. Thanks f16.. Good man. Ok Iv had another go... Dear Sirs, On the 19/11/14 the driver of NUMBERPLATE received a speculative invoice from JAS Parking despite the fact that the driver was a paying customer and on the premises at the time of issue of the parking charge notice. The driver also refute there was any unauthorised parking. There will also no doubt be footage of the driver on site via your CCTV system which would prove point one and six of the alleged breach to be invalid. Proof of purchase and copy of invoice attached. The regulations alleged to have been breached: 1. Unauthorised parking. 6. Did not use car park provider’s premises and went elsewhere at the time of issue of the parking charge notice. I have no doubt this has been issued erroneously and has no legal standing and any claim is entirely false. By my understanding this action by JAS is tantamount to fraud. By admission from one of your branch assistants, this type of action is common place. Which begs the question, what are you doing about the harassment your customers are suffering at the hands of the agents you employ? Advice has been sought on this matter and there is no case to answer. If this mess isn’t sorted out now the driver will be forced, unfairly to go through a long drawn out appeals process that you are in a position to halt. This situation is completely unacceptable and request that you step in at this juncture as is your right and contact JAS on the driver’s behalf and have the invoice cancelled. Yours... How's that look? Should I also go into why we think POPLA would cancel at this stage, ie signage, no loss caused, landowner contracts etc? I would imagine all Staples would consider is the fact that I was a paying customer and on site at the time? Thx again.
  7. Ok so thus far I have this... Dear Sirs, On the 19/11/14 I received a speculative invoice from JAS Parking despite the fact that I was a paying customer and on the premises at the time of issue of the parking charge notice. I also refute there was any unauthorised parking. There will also no doubt be footage of me on site via your CCTV system which would prove point one and six of the alleged breach to be moot. The regulations alleged to have been breached: 1. Unauthorised parking. 6. Did not use car park provider’s premises and went elsewhere at the time of issue of the parking charge notice. (Proof of purchase and copy of invoice attached.) I have no doubt this has been issued erroneously and has no legal standing and any claim is entirely false. Which begs the question, what are you doing about the harassment your customers are suffering at the hands of the agents you employ? I find this situation completely unacceptable and I ask that you contact JAS on my behalf and have the invoice cancelled. Yours... Thoughts?
  8. Wow Eric, I was just preparing a post on the very subject. Spooky. No is the answer Im just trying to compose something now and am a bit unsure how to approach it for the best. Any advise on this?
  9. After reading more of the links posted I am running out of steam already, I would like to try my luck and see if I can get Staples to cancel it for me. Is there some sort of template for such a thing? I would include images of the ticket and receipt and argue that the ticket has been issued incorrectly. The regulations alleged to have been breached: 1. Unauthorised parking. 6. Did not use car park provider’s premises and went elsewhere at the time of issue of the parking charge notice. I’d like to point out that I was a paying customer and on the premises when the ticket was issued. Proof of which is attached. Best to be polite or go in a bit harder as has been suggested to me? Does the fact that I was on the premises, and could probably be proved by cctv, make my argument to Staples any stronger bearing in mind that Reg 6. Says ‘at the time of tickets issue I did not use the premises’? Anything else I should include to be more persuasive?
  10. I think they have the size covered. Google image link. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.9048012,-0.2048405,3a,75y,154.02h,81.82t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sL2caV-PbUzxkx642hd2l4Q!2e0!6m1!1e1 I will double check to make sure the entrance sign is still there.

  12. Thanks Eric I will look in to that. As much as Id like to shove it up JAS I would be happy if Staples would just do the right thing and cancel it. Pics of sign as requested. Will up elsewhere as I don't think they are readable in this state.
