  1. Still not got my charges back. I will change banks soon and I would not recommend HSBC for banking....ever.
  2. Thank you all so much have send off a email (did this before, I just forgot where the template was!) and email does have a effect a letter will as well
  3. At the moment, I am unemployed due to health reasons. I've just had a major operation and I did not overdraw, but rather, bills like TV license, Virgin Media etc.... They took out £44 for charges and I forgot where the draft is to write a letter to them to claim it back under hardship! I hate HSBC, I really should change banks soon...
  4. Good news. Today I received a email from Lee. Vodafone has agreed to refund the money back for the dates 7th July to 22nd September after Lee looked into my account and did indeed find a email requesting a cancellation. I'd like to say thank you to Lee and the posters on this topic. This is a huge lift off my shoulders!
  5. I can clearly remember going to Vodafone store in town and asking a member of the staff if it will be cancelled. He said and I quote "if you pay this final bill off, then the account is closed." I asked him twice more "Are you absolutely 100% sure it will be closed once I've paid this bill off?" He checked his computer twice and said yes. My sister was with me at the time. So after that, I assumed the account was closed. I managed to find some money and have now paid it off.
  6. I don't want Jenny. I wanted to speak to Lee. Vodafone refuses to close account and wipe debt AFTER I asked them to shut it as of 20th June. This is really distressing me.
  7. I received a email, not from Lee but from someone called Jenny. Now I am not happy at all and close to crying here. Despite numerous emails to cancel account, I still have to pay the full amount on which I refuse to. I can't afford it and I don't have the money at all. I know it won't be cancelled if I pay it back in full. I will be taking legal action.
  8. Thank you. Have send numerous emails to Vodafone but they are so slow on replying. But have send one with the ref number given. Cannot use phone as deaf.
  9. Vodafone has charged me for the 2 months - July and August AFTER a member of the staff confirmed it will end on 20th June. So I paid the remaining off for June and naturally, I thought it was cancelled when it came to that date. (The contract was 24 months and did indeed state it would end 20th June. I have emailed Vodafone but if they refuse to wipe the charges, what should I do? I'll be happy to ask any questions as long they are understandable. Thank you.
