  1. Thanks. I've just sent the SAR recorded to the Data Controller. I'll let you know how I get on.
  2. Thanks, I've done that. They say it'll take 28 days. Should I send £10 and a Subject Access Request to British Gas asking for any details they hold about me? Are there any templates available for this sort of thing? (I want to make clear that I'm not acknowledging the debt and that the £10 is only used as payment for the data request and not any payment for any debts they allege I owe them)
  3. I checked my credit file with Noddle today and there's a default on there that doesn't show up with any of the other credit reference agencies. It's on a old address, and from British Gas and the default is dated in November 2009. It's weird that it's from British Gas as I usually go with the cheapest provider, and it's never them! I certainly haven't received a default notice from or demand for payment. It's only for a small amount (£150), and had I have known I wouldn't have let it default. How can I get this taken off my credit file? I really want it removed as quickly as possible. If paying it off would remove the default then I probably would, just for a simple life, but as I understand it this won't help much as it'll still stay on the file. Is it okay to email them, or do I need to send everything by recorded post?
