  1. They were also chasing me for an over inflated debt. I kindly asked them to produce the original agreement and a statement of account. That was over 4 months ago and I havn't heard from them since. They never contacted my work number though. You should raise a complaint against them for contacting your work number.
  2. Just ignore them. They sent me an email looking for £4,500 for a £400 loan lol.
  3. Thanks for your suggestion. I contacted the liquidators and they said I need to fill in a proof of debt form in order to be added to the list of creditors. Does anyone here have any experience of filling in this form. I'm a little unsure of whether I can claim the 8% interest on payments made. Also am I right in saying that I cannot claim any interest and charges past the date of the winding up order. I have attached a screenshot of the form and also 3 screenshots of the FOS adjudicators decision. Sorry if the screenshots are a little unclear. Thanks for your help
  4. I raised a fos complaint against Bongaloans (BB Credit ltd) for irresponsible lending. They found in my favour and ordered that interest and charges be refunded on around 10 loans I took out with them. They also informed that Bongaloans have gone into liquidation. Does this mean that I can forget about getting anything back from them? Is there any others out there in the same boat?
  5. Thanks for your replies From my limited knowledge, I was under the impression that this was the case alright. I found a few threads where this was discussed previously such as the 2 below. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?292376-Safeloans-sent-CCJ-Letter http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?461489-CCJ-28-days-start-date There is one issue that I'm still a bit unsure about. When I paid the claimant they gave me a receipt to show the account was repaid Do I need to inform the credit agencies or courts that this has been repaid using the receipt as proof? I knew nothing about how the CCJ process works until a couple of weeks ago but am trying to educate myself by browsing threads on here.
  6. The judgement letter arrived in the post today stating that the claimant accepted my offer. This has cleared up my question. Thanks
  7. Thanks for your reply. I was aware that a part admission would result in a CCJ. I'm just not clear on the amount that they got a judgement for. Does "Judgement Issued" mean they got a judgement for the full amount? I intend to repay whatever figure within a month to avoid the CCJ staying on my credit file.
  8. I had a CCJ issued against me by Merligen Investments Limited for a Swift Sterling loan. They wanted £390 including legal fees. I submitted my part admission defence and included that I objected to the amount and that I only owed £90. The defence was done online on MCOL and the timeline of events is as follows, A claim was issued against you on 20/04/2016 Your acknowledgment of service was submitted on 24/04/2016 at 12:15:21 Your acknowledgment of service was received on 25/04/2016 at 01:03:12 Your part admission was submitted on 14/05/2016 at 03:14:50 Your part admission was received on 16/05/2016 at 01:02:53 A judgment was issued against you on 24/05/2016 at 19:20:05 I was under the impression that since I offered my part defence on time that this would now go to a court hearing? Does this judgement issued mean that I will owe the full amount as it does not give any details of the judgement on MCOL? Would be grateful if anyone could answer these questions.
  9. I'm not quiet sure what you mean by this. Was the poster supposed to deny he owed the loan? If he did'nt reply to the court then 1st stop would have got a default judgement anyway.
  10. This lot went ringing up random numbers in my workplace. I also have one of their personal mobile numbers which I used to return the favour. Glad to see them closed down.
  11. Any chance you could reduce the interest and fees on my loan with ye?No way I'm paying ye the 3 grand ye want for the three hundred loan.
  12. I have no intention of repaying more than I originally owe no matter who they sell it on to. My gut feeling is that another one of Larholts companies will rear their head looking for repayment plus another grand or two thrown in for good measure. If this happens then NOTHING will be repayed, not even the minimum I owe.
  13. The last I heard from them was a couple of months ago. I spoke with some girl on the phone and we had a game of hi - lo. She wanted lots of charges added and I wanted to repay only what I owed. The conversation ended with her telling me they were sending around their baliffs lol. They still havn't shown up. I'm kinda hoping that they send someone around so I can tell them where to go but that won't happen as every one knows the Baliff thing is a pack of lies. I havn't been getting their silly texts and emails for the past few weeks either though.
  14. The default has gone off my noddle file also. Their probably passing it on to another company but as far as i'm concerned no company is going to be paid the crazy sums that their requesting.
  15. Thats a very sad story. I'm sure there are many other such stories that go unreported. I have only dealt with CashGenie of that three mentioned and they are pure ****. They come a close 3rd behind Toothfairy and minicredit on the list to avoid.
