Animal Charities - sometimes not totally forthcoming
Helloagain39 replied to Sadcafe's topic in Pets and Vets
Would appear that sadcafe is not the only one to have had a bad deal with this lot. Seems that people are wising up to these organisations that are claiming the welfare of the animal comes before their wage packet, paid by donations!! Unable to do a link but if you search dailymail, cats protection receives 62m a year and spends 12m on staff wages - see how they treat their volunteers, you will get the idea. -

I have seen from the lack of correspondence from Sadcafe on this site that the guess by Tilly2007 is probably correct and if this is true I realise that I will receive no thanks for this comment, but I'm very pleased that you got the right outcome. -

Well what a surprise to find that this is open now. I was just looking through some items on the consumer page and saw that this was again active, what has happened for it to be opened again? Maybe Sadcafe wasn't wrong and I felt that this article was closed too soon and didn't allow any feedback from Sadcafe. -

I was talking to someone the other day about your story who thought she had seen something similar on pet forum awhile ago. I cant find it there just wondered if it was yours? -

This is truly an awful story and I hopethat you will get some justice some day. I had my reservations about the Cats Protection League after reading on the Internet that they had lost millions because the had invested in a Icelandic Bank. You have to wonder how a non- profitable charity can be sitting on millions, which cats benefitting sat in the bank and why an ofshore bank? I know there is no comparison, but I have had to return a microwave to Argos on three occasions(within warranty) and they have exchanged every time and on the last occasion even suggested a different model. They have looked after me very well. Pity the Cats Protection couldn't have done the same for you. I do hope that things work out as people should not be treated this way.
