T-MOBILE recording private conversations
justlaw replied to justlaw's topic in Telecoms - mobile or fixed
BANKFODDER, I do record all my calls, so I have a recording of the TMOBILE manager admitting to listening to the recording they made. I agree with your advice to all people, record all your own calls, it can prove invaluable. Lets wait and see what the powers that be at TMOBILE say in reply to the concerns I have raised with them. I will keep you posted and thanks for interest in this matter. -
T-MOBILE recording private conversations

Wow, some instant great advice cheers CAG team. As OFCOM state; Q. What do I do if my calls have been recorded unlawfully? A. Under RIPA it is a tort to record or monitor a communication unlawfully. This means that if you think you have suffered from unlawful interception of your phone calls or e-mails you have the right to seek redress by taking civil action against the offender in the courts. I will certainly be doing so and will post the details up here for all to see, I think this is a very worrying action for all customers. Indeed how many of your personal communications have these organisations recorded???? I feel completely violated by having these people listen in to my conversations, more-so knowing that they recorded it and then passed it round so that people could listen!!!!!! Disgusting Have emailed my concerns to T-Mobile, let's see what they come back with....... -
What do CAG'ers think of this action from T-MOBILE? We all know these people record the conversations when you call for 'training purposes', well what would you say if you knew they'd also recorded your private conversation with your family???? How could this happen? Well I'm on a call with them, they had called me up about something. At the end of the call the T mobile agent says goodbye and I assume they've hung up the call. Unbeknown to me they continued to eavesdrop into the conversations I'm having with my family for over 15 mins!!!! How did I find out? Well sometime later I'm speaking with a T Mobile manager and he admits this on the phone, even telling me some of the detail of my call. I am F'in livid.

They look like police, act like police but do not have policing powers other than those of a private citizen. You should google 'love police' and 'canary wharf' you will see these clowns in action or should we say inaction.
