  1. Hi I have not been given the precise details other than they add on more money and interest as the debt remains unpaid. I do not own a car and live in a rented shared furnished flat. Is my best option to go to a local county court or have dialogue with the HCEO?
  2. Fortunately I do have a robust defence and I am good at record keeping.. So it is not too late to fill in a 244. I understand that there is a fee associated with this. Will I get a refund on the fee if I am proved to be in the right? The original CCj was under £600 and now it has escalated to over £3k.
  3. Hello Someone was renting my flat and then left. He believes that I have withheld all his deposit (which I did not, only part of it was withheld for damages). He applied to the County Court to recover the monies but the mail was sent to the flat where I no longer live. Consequently I did not receive the letter from the Courts, or I would have challenged the claim. I have just received a Notice of Enforcement followed by a further letter stating that their Enforcement Officer attended my new flat but was unable to meet up with me to discuss payment. They state that as they were unable to recover the full amount, the enforcement of the Writ has escalated to Stage 2. Apparently this is over £3k. I do not even know how this amount has been arrived at as the rent was under £600 per month. What are the options now open to me? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cal
