  1. TY Michael, not all the letters loaded but the last link to 'Phil' was very helpful. Says CCS is just a trading name of G24, not only that I can see the content of the next letter and when I should receive it. TY!!
  2. Hi all, I have just had my 4th letter, this time from a debt collection agency called CCSCollect based in Thonrton Heath Surrey. They request payment within 7 days: 'Our client may take further legal action which could mean additional costs and fees being added to the balance. Please pay the full amount you owe within 7 days of this letter to avaoid probable further action'. No one has yet mentioned CCSCollect on this thread yet, is the advice still to ignore?
  3. Thanks for the update Keroan. I've had my second letter now, but like you I am just ignoring them...
  4. Tks for the update Keroan, I assume you will ignore this one too? You seem to be a week or so ahead of the 3 of us with G24 letters in this thread so please continue to keep us advised of developments (as I will). Tks to Surfer01 for your comments too!
  5. I am placing my trust in the advice on this page and ignoring G24 until such time as they issue court proceedings. I think that the fact that this is a free carpark is very much in our favour as they can only pursue this on the basis of loss incurred by Wickes. I am hoping this makes going to court highly unlikely. I suggest we post details of any further communications from G24 here?
  6. Keroan, I am in exactly the same situation G24, Wickes (Hereford). Perhaps we can team up and share experiences? So far I have read much that says do not reply but I am slightly concerned that if it does go to court that this might not go in my favour. I am considering a short response that as keeper of the vehicle refutes their 'invoice' and asks them to take it up with the 'driver' on that day. I may also include a sentence that informs them that future correspondence will be chargeable on a per letter basis (30 mins at my hourly rate). Overall though I am looking for a way to end this quickly as I do not want to be receiving threatening letters for months to come.
  7. Yesterday I received a Parking Charge Notice from a company called G24. It shows photos of my car entering and exiting a free carpark (Wickes DIY store). Apparently the time allowed is 2 hours and I was there for 3 and a quarter hours. I didn't see any signage, and I will check, but I do assume it is there and in order. I did shop in Wickes. G24 want £95 in 28 days or £75 if I pay now. It is a private carpark but it is also a free carpark with no entry barrier or ticket system. I was not aware until yesterday there was a time limit on the free parking. A charge of £95 for an extra hour in a free carpark seems extortionate. I do not feel it is a fair charge and I would like not to have to pay it if possible. Equally I don't really want to end up in court. Can anyone suggest a course of action please?
