  1. Hi Rozz111, Acceptance, patience and a change of focus may be needed, as you can't change their system. It took about six weeks, for my backdated ESA to be paid after winning my appeal. Hang in there. It'll be paid eventually.
  2. Hi deMontfort. You are not alone. 99% of people on here 'scored' nil points at their 'assessment. Have you put in an Appeal? If not, do this first. You can download the form here - http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/DG_4017514 Secondly, there is then a helpful thread re the Appeal process here - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?251737-Appealing-or-going-to-a-Tribunal-Some-useful-information(1-Viewing)-nbsp Thirdly, I'd respectfully suggest starting a new thread, and using paragraphs so that people can find and read your post more easily. Seek support and representation for your Appeal via your CAB. About 60 - 70% of people WIN their Appeals with representation. Good Luck.
  3. Hi, Sorry to read that your friend 'scored nil points'. It's par for the course with 99% of claimants. Your friend can't really 'demand' anything. She can however, put an appeal in. Download form here - http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/DG_4017514 Appeal process thread here - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?251737-Appealing-or-going-to-a-Tribunal-Some-useful-information(1-Viewing)-nbsp Good Luck.
  4. Congrats. Hilarious re DWP woman!
  5. Just re - read your posts. Forgot to 'refresh' the page sorry! Ok. So, you forgot to tell them about a bank account; Said bank account was empty; I would say 99% you will be fine. No 'overpayment' has occurred. No money was in your account in the first place, and so no money was concealed; It was a simple oversight. These things happen. Why not ask them to be 100%?
  6. It's futile getting angry over something which can't be changed. We just have to accept their protocol / procedures, if we claim unfortunately! Just give them what they need, be 101% honest, and you've nothing to worry about. Pinkcob - What do you mean by "can they request payments back"? Do you mean that they've overpaid you Housing Benefit?
  7. The fact that the whole 'assessment' is farcical is a given. Nobody on here (other than one person) has posted that they've 'passed' their so called medical. Ruminating over what they should've asked / didn't ask, is a moot point. (This comes later, when you go through each discrepancy step - by - step in your appeal submission). Accept what we all have to work with, and just focus on your appeal. 60 - 70% of people, with representation, WIN!
  8. If you inform G4S and the Jobcentre yourself, then this worry will disappear. Everything will be out in the open, and no one can say that you didn't inform them.
  9. Hi, Try not to let your mind race ahead on this one (easier said than done I know). It's better to be proactive, and notify G4S and the Jobcentre yourself. I wouldn't hang about. Just call both of them, and follow it up with a letter (signed for). At least then, you've done everything you can. You'll probably get a 'warning', before a sanction. Someone with more experience of G4S may be along soon. All the best.
  10. Keeping on asking the same question won't make the DWP pay you any faster though! The best you can do is chase them up at weekly intervals. All the best.
  11. Hi, Sorry to read that your Counselling isn't going so well. As you are undoubtedly already aware, often these things are tougher before they get easier. It is certainly possible to go it alone with the appeal, but I would advise asking the CAB for some help. That's what they are there for! They will take the pressure off. They can help with preparing your appeal, and may even attend the hearing with you. I know where you're coming from, regarding talking to strangers, but the CAB are there to help you. The lady helping with my appeal at the CAB is lovely. She's a 'Community Legal Service Welfare Rights Advisor'. She will also attend my hearing with me, and I'm sure if you ask them, you'll be able to get some help too. Not only will they take a load off, your chances of winning your appeal will increase from about 20% (going alone), to around 70% (with representation)!
  12. You're welcome. Don't let them stress you out. I appreciate that this is easier said than done! It's all a waiting game, and we all have to play them at their own 'game' sadly, while trying to focus on getting well. Good Luck.
  13. Apparently (I read on here), the DWP are clamping down on mental health issues (just what mentally ill people need). ie - They will want to see at the Appeal stage, that you are proactively seeking / receiving treatment, be that therapy or something similar. Focus on asking your GP / Therapist / specialists for a supporting letter, which states your condition / medication / treatment. With representation (Ask for this NOW, from your local CAB / CLS), between 60 and 70% of people are winning their ESA Appeals. All the best.
