  1. good news. Bryan Carter Solicitors wrote to announce that they will not persue the matter further. Happy days.
  2. Thanks for the info JM. The case is belongs to a good friend of mine and I'm just helping them out,and picking up some good points from folk like yourself. The update is that my friend has sent back a defence to the claim and it was posted to the Northampton Court. My friend mentioned in the defence section that no breakdown in fees, charges etc were included in the claim. So, let's see what happens next I suppose.
  3. I would be grateful if someone here could me some guidlines etc regarding a claim from Bryan Carter Solicitors on behalf of the Lowell Financial group. It involves a a build up of late payment charges charged at £22 per late payment. The originator was Clydesdale/Barclaycard loans for supplying a loan to purchase a car.At the end of the term of payments, charges of £303 were outstanding which related to a build up of late payments. A refund of the late payment charges were requested and the originators sent a statement of payments and charges. Nothing developed from there except that the loan company put the matter into the hands of debt collectors. All along the way, the collectors changed hands several times and this latest claim has arrived via Northampton Court with a total amount of £730. Any suggestions please.
  4. I feel so sorry for this poor woman. It makes you wonder if making any effort to work and make something for yourself and family are just a waste of time. I can only suggest to this poor woman and her family to grab as much from the state system as she can like so many other people that are screwing the system. I wish that I was in aposition to help this woman and her family.Good luck to you and God bless
  5. I would be grateful if someone could supply some information on late payment charges on car loans. A friend of mine had a car loan with Clydesdale/Barclaycard loans. They made every payment although late.A charge of £22 was made on each occasion. At the end of the agreement and after all payments were made, they asked for the £303 in late payment charges. My friend refused to pay. Now after 4/5 years, different collection agencies have added on charges and passed them on to other agencies etc. The latest came from Bryan Carter Solicitors on behalf of Lowell Financial Ltd asking for £720 or the case will be put into court. Any suggestions please?
  6. With regards to the consumer programs, I was also approached by Duncan Kennedy. Has anyone spoken to this guy?
  7. Hi, Go the site atcostenergy.com and all the information is provided by Matt Stockdale C.E.O of the company. I understand that many thousand's have registered online already (including me and my friends). Cheers
  8. I have have answer to all the problems here. Switch to a new energy supplier called atcostenergy.com. As the title suggests, they will supply you with gas and electricity at cost price. I understand that they have been granted a licence to supply energy by Offgem this Autumn. So, do as I and many thousands of others and register online now. They claim to save the average householder £320 per year on combined energy cost. No fancy offices, no shareholders and no bonuses...hooray. I can't wait to see the british gas shares hit the floor. Well done Mark, you are doing what the Government should be doing.
  9. I was the first employee of Just Rentals (BAYV) at the start of the company in June 1976. The company was started by my late Father in Law. He must be turning in his grave at the situation with the present BAYV format because he had good standards and values. Sadly he died within a few years of the company formation and if matters had turned out differently, none of this adverse information would have been in evidence. The problems seemed to arise when he joined up with a company based in Tonypandy which was run by some old work friends. My observations shocked me with some of their activities which were directed from the top. The Managers that ran the sales force spent most of the day at various pubs whilst the sales door knockers weaved their web of lies to the customers. It seemed to me that this crowd were worse than the Mafia, and I should know as I was instructed to do their dirty deeds. Has anyone taken the problems to their local MP to look at their activities?
