  1. oh ok - I think the first letter back in April asked if I was the registered keeper and I replied the using a Forum letter format of.. ....I challenge this 'PCN' , as keeper of the car, on the following grounds: a). The sum does not represent a genuine pre-estimate of loss, nor is it a coreprice term. It is totally extravagant and unconscionable when compared to localparking charges issued by the Council so cannot be justified. b). As keeper I believe that the signs were not seen, the wording ambiguous and the predominant purpose of your business model is to deter. c). There is no evidence that you have any proprietary interest in the land. d). Your 'Notice' fails to comply with the POFA 2012 and breaches variousconsumer contract/unfair terms Regulations. e). There was no consideration nor acceptance flowing from both parties and any contract with myself or the driver, is denied. There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. As such, you must either rely on the POFA 2012 or cancel the charge. Is uggest you uphold this challenge now or alternatively, send a rejection letter blah blah.. .I had a long letter in response which I binned. I didn't hear anything for about 2 months until recently..
  2. Hi = it was photo, not ticket. What does NTK stand for?. ..I don't have scan facility.... ...letter says... Notice of intended court action - unpaid parking £160.00. To prevent this case being recommended to the creditor to commence court proceedings, you must pay the full amount by 5/10/15. Then a para on how to pay.. ..Then what if you don't pay ....saying if you are liable for this charge and do not pay the full amount by 5/10/15 or if you have not greed a payment option, we will pass your file to the creditor with a recommendation to commence court action against you. If they are successful a court judgement against you could seriously affect your ability to obtain credit in the future. Please note if the case goes to coutr and you are ordered to pay, the creditor may seek to recover additional amounts which may include court and solicitor fees.....
  3. Question? Am unclear how threads work (bit of a techy thicky so sorry if this isn't the right way)... Got a pcn from G24 who took pics of car blah blah - looked at Forum and saw a response about sending a letter stating they have no legal standing and not to acknowlege being registered keeper etc - used the letter advised and got a long winded letter in response which I didn;t understand, but poo pooing POPLA? three debt recovery letters threatening which igrnored - now have one with notice of intended court action unless I pay up immediately.....am I standing firm and ignoring?

  6. HI, am new to the site, having received a letter (or Parking Contravention Enforcement notice) from CEL back in April, having supposedly parked from 11.47 to 13.29 at Coppins Bridge, Newport in Isle of Wight. Actually thought the notice said maximum stay of 2 hours but perhaps someone could clarify what it actually was? Anyway, we dropped our boys at the cinema at 10.30 ish I think as we were there on hols, then went off to the Lavendar Farm (can't say how long was there but had coffee etc so could have been an hour or so, came back, boys still weren't ready so went into the KFC to eat lunch and they shortly joined us. Can't believe we were penalised for paying the businesses ie cinema and KFC! I read various threads and ignored the first penalty charge for £75 if I paid quickly I then got another reminder on 6th May with a higher fine of £150 which I also ignored. Have now received a letter from Newlyn who are a Debt agency instructed by CEL to recover the money - can anyone please advise my next steps - now not sure what to do?
