Bayv Coin Meter
alisha2010 replied to gooseygander75's topic in BrightHouse and other "rent to own" Hire Purchase Stores
I would be careful doing this ,as the metre is propert of Buy As You View and I would guess what your doing is a criminal offence .Explain to them this was a one off and you were desparate especially if you have children . Ask them to put your viewing hours back to 4 hours for £1.00 ,they usually only reduce the viewing time if when collecting they see there isnt enough in the coin meter to pay the 8 weekly installments ,not heard of this summer time thing ,I know a few BAYV customers and agents and they are not aware of this Hope this helps ,they may charge you for a new meter ,but think you can pay this also in with the 8 weekely payments to them -

Unenforceable credit agreements pre april 2007
alisha2010 replied to alisha2010's topic in Financial Legal Issues
Its complicated as the company use a modified agreements formula so each agreement I took out for goods on rent to buy hire purchase run into the next agreement ,do you know who I can go to to complain ? Thank you for your reply -
Hi I need some advise on unenforceable credit agreements prior to the new ruling of April 2007 . I have 2 agreements which I believe are unenforceable one for 2001 and another 2002 . I only learned of these agreements when I applied for my credit agreements to the company under the consumer credit act . 2 of the agreements bare signatures which are not mine . I know the fiancial ombudsman doesnt take on complaints for as far back as this . Anyone know the law ,or complaint procedure on agreements before April 2007 please

Hi Hope i am posting in the right place . Wonder if anyone can help . I took out credit agreements prior to 2007 with the same company a television rental company . I was a customer with them for over 15 years .It was originally a slot television putting £1 in every 3 hours ,paying for goods such as electrical ,beds etc . Extended insurance was added to each agreement which at the time I thought I had to have it .I know know differently . I was never explained to what it was what it was for ,or asked if I had my own cover . I was certainly mis sold these insurances . I am confused with the credit agreement act . Can anyone advise me on what part of the consumer credit act would help me make a claim for unfair / mis sold insurance with a rent to buy company ,on hire purchase agreements ,and is there any bodies that would take on a complaint if need be ,as the company have denied all liability for these miss sold insurances
