  1. Hi, I've recently checked my credit file to find Motor Mile have placed a default on my credit file. They state the type as Pay Day Loan. Account started - 19/07/2011 Default Date - 22/04/2016 Default Balance -£318 This has just appeared out of the blue. Reading the forums here it sounds like they buy old date. My question is are they allowed to place a default on my account? I've never heard of them. They also have my date of birth wrong on the credit report. out by a couple of days. There was never any other default from any payday lender before april. Please can someone advise how to get this removed? Thanks.
  2. thanks for the reply, will fire that one off and keep you posted.
  3. Hi just thought I'd give a quick update to this. I sent the letter as mentioned above and waited about a month and finally got a reply from H & L. They ignored the letter I sent and said this - "We write to confirm that we have instructed to agree a discounted settlement figure with you to clear this account." should I respond to this or just leave it?
  4. thanks for your help. Will give that a try.
  5. HSBC have been chasing me for a debt for some time which they passed to westcot. I sent wescot a CCA request which they didnt respond to within the 12 day period. They then wrote to me stating the file had been passed back to the client and that I would hear no more from them. HSBC have now passed the file to H L Legal solictiors who have sent me notification of court action to obtain a ccj against me. As they are yet to respond to the CCA request can they do anything? I have downloaded a couple of template letters from here, the one to a solicitors after a cca has been ignored and the one where it has been passed on to another dca. What letter should I send them as I made the cca request to westcot. Do I need to send another cca direct to HSBC or H L Legal? really not sure what to do now. any help would be great. Many Thanks, John.
