  1. Thank you for your advice. I'm worried in the mean time that the seller tries to return the guitar to me. What about the abusive emails, do you think I should make a complaint to someone?
  2. I will try and keep this as short as possible but would appreciate any help. I purchased a guitar at the beginning of February on the internet from a retailer. After arriving 3 days late I kept it for about a fortnight and noted all the issues such as grooves in the neck and an uneven finish. I then contacted the retailer and he said he would pay for the guitar to be returned so he could inspect it. He took note of my faults and agreed but said they were part of a normal standard and would be found on any guitar. I have asked for a replacement or refund but since then have been told that I have OCD! and that if I was remotely normal he would exchange the guitar. He has also said that I am a bully and that if I am willing to accept £100 off the original price he may refund me. He has tried to ship the guitar back to me but I have said I would reject it. He has also told me if I take him to small claims he will prove beyond reasonable doubt that the guitar is perfect. I have now asked my bank to investigate this refund for me as I paid by visa debit but am worried as this may take up to 21 days and there is no guarantees. I have tried to be reasonable with him but he seems to be making this personal and has resorted to name calling. Any advice would be gratefully received as this is beginning to stress me out and I see no reason why I should put up with his verbal crap. All communication up until now has been via email. Thanks in advance.
  3. Ive been driving mondeos for years as the clutch is further away, unfortunately it has to do with the angle of the clutch, so no not all models just many.
  4. Hi advice needed please. I purchased a car two days ago from local garage, vectra, £4000 on hp plus £1000 deposit. Anyway I have a stomach condition and have found that I will never be able to drive this car as it hurts too much. I wondered if I was to withdraw from hp contract with blackhorse how much would I be charged. I dont mind loosing a couple of hundred pounds, and would I get my deposit back from the dealer? I have to return the car anyway as there is a hissing noise from the brakes, but just wondered if anyone could tell me how much this could cost me thanks
  5. Hi, I have recently 3 months ago purchased two new composite front and back doors from a well known local double glazing firm. We have had various problems from leaking letterboxes through to draughts, doors swelling up in the warm weather and not shutting properly through to the doors not locking at all. The locking mechanisms have been changed, the letterbox sealed, other bits adjusted. They have been back at least half a dozen times. The front door is now only locking because it has been drowned in WD40, how long will that last I ask myself. I have been offered no apology from anyone, but am still being invoiced for the half I never payed up front but am now thinking I may refuse to pay in full. Its obvious that there is something not right. We were told these doors are made to slam! After all the convenience I have been put through, and the doors still aren't right. I think I would prefer a refund or atleast a heavy discount for what seems unacceptable quality and workmanship. Any advice gratefully received.
  6. ok well i will be paying it tomorrow anyway, I was just more upset that they have the details wrong which causes embaressment on both parts.
  7. we both received a charge for payment in both our names. I suppose all I can do is wait until they write to my employer, and then I guess it's up to them to write and rectify mistake?
  8. no they have listed her employer as my employer. will the letter already have went out or will I have time to complain? i had no payment plan in place unfortunately.
  9. hi, its for council tax from scott and co, so its probably all ready been to court. I believe they came to the house some time ago.
  10. Hi , my wife has been sent a form 30 earnings arrestment schedule (intimation to debtor) form. I presume this means they have or about to contact her employer. The only problem is that they have put the wrong employer on the form. Does this mean they are going to disclose confidential information to someone she doesnt work for? I'm not sure what to do? I presume this form is real and not a threat. Its from scott and co. thanks
  11. Hi thanks for reply and no it doesnt say that, but it does say this: On the dates specified in the schedule overleaf Penalty charge certificates were issued to you by Aberdeen City Council under and in terms of schedules 3 and 6 of the road traffic act 1991 as amended which authorised recovery of the penalty charges, in respect of which the total balce outstanding is £xxx.xx I xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx x xxxxxxxxx xxxxx sheriff officer, by virtue of the said penalty charge certificates, charge you to pay the total sum due as set out below within 14 days after the date of this charge to scott and co, sheriff officers, xx xxxxxx xxxxxx. If you do not pay this sum within 14 days you are liable to have further action taken against you including arrestment of your earnings and the attachment and auction of articles belonging to you" You are also liable to be sequastrated. This charger is served on you today by me x leaving it for you.
  12. I have been served with a "Form of charge for payment of money" from Scott and co for £600 for parking tickets. It says"If you do not pay this sum within 14 days you are liable to have further action taken against you including arrestment of your earnings and the attachment and auction of articles belonging to you" Has this already been to court? Do i have to pay or will they accept a payment plan? I dont know if this is a court form or just their scare tactics, any help/advice would be appreciated. The envelope they delivered it in said "this envelope contains a citation to or intimation from aberdeen sherriff court" thankyou.
  13. Thank you for your help. I can only afford to pay about £40 a month. Will it be ok to offer this amount? Should I give them circumstancial evidence? thanks.
  14. Im caught with 2 payday loans. I took out a Wonga one in April for £400, then rolled it over, then paid it off but had to take it straight back out again. So they have made at least £100 a month off me for 6 months. I cant afford to pay back this month.
