  3. thank you Bankfodder i will look into that further
  4. yeah cheers for that Geoff1248 fyi the glue was in a storage container in a cupboard. You dont think i feel guilty enough without a stupid thoughtless comment like that?? If i was interested in sueing them or making a quick buck i wouldnt be getting myself into a **** load of debt saving her. She may just sound like a dog to you but she is MY FAMILY and my concern is if a dog can access it from a box in a cupboard then a child could too and there should be SOME KIND OF ADVICE regarding ingestion as well as the advice regarding inhalation and skin contact. Children of a certain age cant read either so CONSTRUCTIVE advice is required not stupid judgmental comments
  5. serious advice needed here guys and gals, I had a bottle of gorilla glue ( its an expanding glue ) my dog managed to get it and is currently in hospital after having a serious operation to remove this vile stuff and will probably suffer life long issues due to the serious chemical burns she has suffered internally, there is NOTHING on the bottle with regards to ingestion of this product or the fact that it has a sweet smell which could attract children or animals. I think this is a dangerous issue and would like to know who i contact with this and also whether i have any legal grounds against the company as i am very angry, upset and scared for my beloved pet right now, and with a £1800 vet bill on top to add to my distress
  6. Thanks for the quick response shes at work right now but will get all relevant info this evening

  8. Hi i need help on behalf of my mom. its kinda complicated so will try to be as clear as possible. any and all help greatly received and appreciated. my mom had a loan of £8.000 her repayments were £170.00 per month. Her husband will have been dead 13 years this year and when he died he left her a lump sum of £64.000. She asked Barclays to transfer £21.000 from this sum into ISA's instead the bank increased her loan by £21.000 without her knowledge or consent. She was totally unaware that they had made this error as there was no increase in her monthly payments of £170.00 they didnt even cover the interest of this "new loan amount" She hasnt worked since 1974 has survived on benefits for a long time yet the loan also had ppi. The first she knew of the loan was 2 years later when the manager rang her and said "you owe us £30.000 how are you going to pay?" She tried on numerous occassons to get to the bottom of it but all they did was show her her signature and demanded to know what she had spent her money on. They took the £5.000 she had left in her ISA's leaving her with £1.000 and enough money to get her house deeds in her name so they could give her a short term mortgage to pay back the money knowing full well her income wouldnt have allowed for repayments on a mortgage. She ended up going onto a debt management program and finally paid them off Aug 2013. I think she has grounds for compensation or a missold loan or something as well as a claim for ppi but im not really up on that sort of thing an d know you guys have given me great advice in the past.
  9. hi all need advice for a friend she has recieved a letter from bcw on behalf of car phone wearhouse, talk mobile for an outstanding amount of £68.75, i know its not a lot but she is stressing out. She took out her contract 3 years ago and didnt renew it, she sent car phone wearhouse a cancelation letter at the end of feb and cancelled her direct debit in march, she has since recieved a letter from talk mobile for £12 which she ignored as she had sent the cancellation letter about a month before she cancelled the d/d so just thought they had failed to update her records ( she no longer has the phone so couldnt use it to try to contact them) Now this letter has arrived from bcw for the above sum. I adviced her not to contact them until she had checked her credit rating to see if there is any default and until i had a chance to run it past you guys....advice please???
  10. thanks for all the input all...... unbelievably she recieved another e-mail this time from the customer services saying they had paid her the money that she had in the account and then said they hoped she would play again soon !!!! so at least they didnt rip her off in that respect but still beyond a joke
