  1. This does not surprise me of O2, I am involved in another complaint with them, I was told specifically there is no number fro complaints and i cant expect a manager to call me back! hey ho off to orange i go! Either way I hope you get it sorted.
  2. Hi All, Thank you for the advice, I sent an official complaint in to BG as directed. I recieved a call from a complaints manager who has resolved the issue and by way of compensation has wiped the balance of my correct bill. I could probably have pushed for more cmpensation for phone calls etc but i am just relieved that the situation has been resolved, and by the length of some of the threads I seem to have been relatively lucky! I was indeed Cross metered, something i knew (I work in housing) bt i was having problems getting BG to understand this, and to back up you observations, indeed the whole issue occured as the first two people i spoke too either mis-informed me or added notes to my account but did nothing!!!!!! I suggested to the lady who i spoke with that purhaps they need to invest in some staff training and she seemed to agree. Anyway, thanks you all again.
  3. I am hoping for some advice regarding british gas and their debt collector / investigation company LCS. I moved in to my flat in late december and changed my gas and electricity supply, when i recieved the closing gas bill I noticed that the meter i was billed for was not my meter number and is in fact the flat below. Initially BG seemed to accept the error and said they woiuld resolve the issue, I heard nothing for weeks then recieved a demand for payment from LCS, so again i contacted BG who again assured me it would be resolved. LCS sent a utility investigation letter, to which i replied, however they sent me a letter concluding the outcome of their investigation dated the day before my response, and again demanding payment. British Gas seem to be fobbing me off on the phone and just sending automated responses to e-mails, and LCS are not replying to my queries at all just sending standard letters. I am at a loss as to what to do now, as the letters are in my name and therfore appearing on my credit rating, and nothing I say seems to work. In addittion previous tenants must not have realised this issue and have been paying the bills, and BG is using this as justification, can they do this? It is just luck that i work in housing so i always check the meter numbers! In contrast my new energy supplier had the same meter issue (the flats are relatively new and it seems to be a simple registration issue) and are resolving the issue very efficiently. The landlord is saying that the utilities are my responsibility ( i dont dispute that) but should they be resolving a meter dispute? Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  4. I part exchanged to Llyodstsb Car select in October, i signed thesorn and sent it too Lloyds who were to send this to the DVLA. It was not possible for me to send it as they needed to sign it and as the car was delievered by an external company they who were not prepared to sign it. I recieved a letter informing me i had failed to tax my old car last friday. I contacted Lloyds tsb who sent me a letter by recorded delievery confirming that they sent the sorn of in there bulk post on 7 days after they collected it and confirming that the car has since been sold at auction. I forwarded this to the DVLA by recorded delievery who have replied today stating that they have transferred the car out of my name but as "i failed to inform them" i still have to pay the fine. Also even though i have appealed they have not frozen the reduced payment date. All of this was going on during the postal strikes in October so i think it very likely that it has gone missing somewhere, from other threads i have read i feel that they will say its my duty to ensure they recieve the post and actually process that, i fail to see how i would be able to do this. Any advice is welcome, the only othr option i think i have is to pass the blame onto Lloydstsb (whos prceedures i was following and who i have very little love for) and get them to pay just to make the situation go away. Thanks
  5. Hi, This is more of a general question that an actual problem, but does anyone know if the student loans company is actually allowed to charge the interest and deduct the payments the way it does. I just think its odd that a company can only deduct payments annually but adds the interest on monthly, hence drastically reducing the repayment power. Surely this also actually puts the loan above the rate of inflation? Before I start arguing with them I just wanted to sound people out, to see if i will get anywhere with this? Thanks
  6. Try e-mailing [email protected] . I exhausted all other so called customer services avenues and a chance conversation with a colleague led to this. All my charges (£125.00 incorrectly charged as already connected to BT, but they decided one month to randomly add on another connection charge) were removed within 24hrs, a miracle after a 15 month battle. Good luck, BT are a nightmare!
  7. thanks, has anyone encountered UK CPS Ltd, are they the sort of company to push it! Its the first time ive ignored a ticket, just a little nervous about it! Thanks
  8. I have rcvd a private parking ticket, the ticket has a number of bizzare things on; 1 - It clearly calls its self a Penalty Charge Notice, i though private companies couldn't do this 2 - It said that the police will not help you and are not allowed to discourage you to pay. 3 - it says it is unable to enter into any verbal communication including in court (how would they take you to court in this case) 4 - it will not allow any appeal without payment, also it only gave 6 days to pay with the fine increasing by £3 per day not paid, any appeal letter will be responded to in 14 days. So if they won't enter into verbal conversation, wont reply to letters within the 6 days how are you supposed to communicate? Not to mention the fact that they have an error on the ticket, they state i was there 9 mins before i actually was, i have no way of proving this though. Would you recommend going with the do nothing until they contact me rule? Thanks
