  1. yes! if you look around the ph store it says 'optional cover plus'. when i managed a store i was told to cancel it where requested by customer. I know some managers put up a fight because they are targeted on it. Thats why I mentioned about the ombudsman service, they take misselling seriously and the last thing PH need is them getting involved. let us know how you get on! oh and for the record, the 'no cancellation rights' is codswallop. if you want goods collecting then PH will happily cancel the agreement.
  2. and dont let them bully you, thats what they do. I was bullied by them for almost two years and lost a baby due to the stress.
  3. Hi, you can cancel the cover plus at any time but means that if a fault develops with any goods after the first year, any repairs are chargable. Company policy is that the customer writes a letter to the manager asking for removal of coverplus, and it should be removed in 14 days. any arguments or refusals regarding this and you have the right to get the financial ombudsman involved. and they WILL sort it. hope this helps x
  4. I used to work for PH so know what i'm talking about. hire purchase ag is for goods fixed sum loan ag is for coverplus which is OPTIONAL tad is theft and acc damage which is mandatory if you dont have contents insurance hope this helps xx
  5. If you have coverplus, then yes. When you take out your contract we go through a PowerPoint presentation called your contact close. On this, the features of coverplus are: * maintenance cover for the length if the agreement (extended waranty) *loan product should yours be sent for repair (doesn't include pcs, laptops and games consoles) * right to return( provided the goods are in a decent condition) hope this helps Jen x
  6. Ok I work for perfect home and have found this thread very interesting! People can return things without financial penalty if they have coverplus as this gives you the 'right to return' whatever the reason! If anyone wants to know anything about the contract/t&c's let me know. I work in sales for them so know the 'contract close' off by heart!! Jen x ps we're not THAT bad, we go through the contract with the customer BEFORE they sign. That's the way we're trained!!
  7. Hey everyone! The fix sum loan agreement is your coverplus extended warranty and the TAD is the theft, loss or accidental damage cover. If you have home contents insurance, take the policy docs into the store and they'll take the TAD off both of your agreements. If you talk to the manager about taking the coverplus off, it's up to them I'd they do it or not. With regards to your television, with your coverplus you have the right to return it. If you do so and get another tv from the same store, any money you've paid off your existing tv will get moved across against the new agreement, so you don't lose any money. they have a new range of panasonic freesat plasmas which are lovely. How do I know all of this? I work for perfect home. Have been for almost a year. Didn't really know what they did before I started, naive I guess. Anyway, a jobs a job at the moment. Not keen on what they do but hope I can help people on here out, have been an avid reader of the forum for yonks! Jenni x
