  3. Just a thought but evey transaction that is passed at the retail end has an authorisation code. If a transaction is authorised, how can you then be penalised when they have allowed it. The banks know to the nanosecond when you make a credit purchase but deem to ignore it so they can then penalise you. Entrapment?? Or am I losing the plot?
  4. I telphoned Lloyds yeterday to complain about the charges as some are due ot today. After the usual runaround I was given an appointment with my local manager today (less than 24 hours!!!). No real progress with that but I did present her with a DPA request made out in her name, which took her back a bit. I have requested 6 years of accounts, yet according to her they are only avalable until late 2001 and not 2000. I said that they had to e kept for 6 years. One thing that I have realised with Lloyds. After a while of a high overdraft position, (made worse by bank and interest charges), the overdraftis turned into a loan on which you still pay interest. I came away wth some nice bank leaflets on complaining etc to Loyds at Colmore Row, Birminghm. So, on with the motley. Should I now start firing letters to my main branch at Hereford or to their 'Care' centre in Birmingham. I do not need an exact total ntil it comes to a court action
