  1. Thanks DX for that link. Nothing recent on it. Just wondered if other GE customers were getting their mortgage transferred.
  2. GE have sold our mortgage to Engage credit, has anyone else had this?
  3. They have a rabbit of supplying redacted SARs.....check your paperwork carefully and especially the oil part....on mine there is no paper trail...broker gone bust...alleged ins co have no records at all...even in the actuary sheet no trace of anyone having been paid.... I instigated court action for charges and had to give up, cannot match their legal team.
  4. Nope dot1....they offered less than half and will only take it off the arrears balance..so options are write again and ask or issue court preceding....it's GE after all...if you get del payments and it's. A month you. Get 2 the 2nd is credited to your arrears balance!!!!!
  5. We are currently paying £83 towards these fees and charges........no choice if we don't they deduct it from the cmi and that's how the arrears accrued ........ Thus far over the past 4 years we ahve paid £3,500 towards them. they cliam this will make sure they finish with the mortgage...... (another story misold) We are being charged £135 interest plus £35 additional interest per month..... odd thing in 11 years the amount we owe has not reduced!!! They have offered to take £1905 off the fees and charges balance but not pay it to us!!! obviously going to refuse......as its nto accurate... I wrote to them in may pointing out that between the dwp and out payment made between the 03/05/2014 and the 30/05/2014 the cmi due ont he 02/06/2014 is fully paid so the payment made by the dwp on the 2nd will be carried forward....... they hae refused and stated it has been deducted from the arrears.........there is a court agreement for those and it is being met...... Not knowing enough about it but feel they cannot do this with dwp payments......... I ahve given them my charges figure and told them payment within 14 days or court action..... guess we knwo what it will be lol.......:mad2::mad2:
  6. PesteredbyGEmoney I have read your reply with great interest.................... https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?458639-GE-now-Kensington-Int-Only-Mortgage-trouble-paying-lots-of-fees Remind them that whilst you are in receipt of benefits they must do all they can to assist you with your difficulties, this is their legal obligation. They must not apply charges to your account whilst you are in receipt of SMI payments, doing so would futher your hardship..... they were adding charges to our account for almost 4 years and we are still in receipt of DWP payments every month........ ..this only stopped in January at a court hearing for possession............ We were making payments as were the DWP thinking it was all going to the cmi ...… .it was not they were deducting payments from this to off set fees and charges!!! at no time did they ever inform us in writing that they were doing this, despite being written to several times questioning the arrears figures........ .the judge ordered them to stop... ...he also told us to ask for the fees and charges back and if not take them to court....... ..lol.............. where did you find the information that they are not allowed ?
  7. lol well they would say that, they do not wish to to go further.... ....that is the usual bluster they say about most things... ...they are hoping you will accept that and go away, for them tis worth the risk, not sure but others with more excperience will be able to make much more effective suggestions.... ....... I would carry on. and am expecting a similar response from them.... ..... the DWP pay in arrears and they are nto supposed to charge but they have been doing so for 4 years......
  8. lol am waiting and watching I am about to start looking at reclaiming charges as well..... good luck
  9. You need to apply for a hearing N244 as urgently as possible and copy that letter and include that in your application............ you reason for asking for the hearing is . THE JUDGE WONT BE BEST PLEASED WHEN HE READ THAT!!!! typical GE....... if its any consolation, they can add these fees on a monthly basis, and if they are nto paid what they actually do, is deduct the fees and charges from your CPM ( contractual monthly payment) and pay the fees and charges, but do not tell you, and you think its those and not actual arrears........ The judge will advise to to write to GE and complain and also recalaim from them and if they refuse he will tell you that you can use the courts for this :)... Can I also suggest you contact shelter they are also awesome, and in many cases do the paperwork for you............ hope this is of some help
  10. lol exactly and thank god for this site............I need to start my own thread, but have been away so long have forgotten how to !!!! lol ( not looking good)..... oh I am drafting my letter of complaint and fully expecting it to be rehjected...
  11. renegradimp sadly you have no choice as they deduct it from your monthly payments thus putting your mortgage account in arrears.....
  12. What GE do is deduct the £40 admin fee and additional interest from your monthly payment and credit it towards your fees and charges balance......Even if the DWP are making payments, they always pay in arrears and GE and ever other lender knows this, but GE ignore it and charge regardless...They refuse to acknowledge this and will onyl ever confirm they receive DWP payments......am about to start reclaiming these my self from GE.....
  13. AS well as Ell-enn its worth contacting shelter as well, they are totally awesome, and do allt he paperwork for you, but as previously stated, one or both of you needs to attend the court hearing.... the courts and judges, shelter and solicitors are all well aware of GE and the tactics they use... good luck, the chances are you will get a letter from the court with a date for the eviction.....this seems to be GE's MO at the moment..
  14. Contact shelter immediately, they will deal with ge for you........... they are fantastic at this...
  15. I am about to embark on reclaiming fees and charges as well and expecting resistance lol.
