  1. i wasnt in arrears but i had phoned them asking for help because of my financial situ they suggested early vt and set the wheels in motion yes the rac did thier check
  2. going back to the arrears all i wanted to do was set up a new payment to pay off the 9 months i knew i had to pay . when i got rid of the car its cheaper not having to pay road tax petrol insurance i didnt know i was going to be in arrears
  3. Welcome have taken the car, it has been collected and taken to auction, this proves then that i was not in arrears at the time of my VT they sent me a breakdown/statement explaining what i had left to pay (9 months + 275 in repairs(i disputed this as the car courrier told me they sell as seen at auction and never carry out any works as picked up by the rac checks))i never recieved any thing in writing telling me to stop paying just verbally over the phone
  4. hi there . i arranged with welcome to vt my car 9 months early as i am getting a company car . i was told not to make any more payments untill after the car had been taken , then i should ring my local welcome office to set up an arrangement to repay the 9 mnths i had left untill the 1/2 way point of the hp .to be honest everything went really well untill i recieved a call from my local welcome office saying i needed to pay 590 now or i would be defaulting . i explained what i had been told she just kept pushing for a payment . i told her i was expecting to pay my normal monthly payments only to another dept . she said after midnight i am in default and it will go on my credit report . what do i do ?????:-?
  5. Hi there. Welcome Car Finance took my car yesterday (well a courrier took it to an auction house in Liverpool), all has gone well and happened reasonably quickly, I V.T'd the car 9 months early and i know i owe the payments up until the two year point, they told me to go to my Welcome office and set up an agreement to pay off the outstanding balance, what I would like to know is if they will then charge me interest again, bearing in mind that I have already been charged interest, also they have charged me an additional £270.00 for things that the RAC picked up on (ie a couple of scratches, small dint and a valet), but the courier told me he would be taking it direct to the auction and it would be sold as it stood, without any of the work which i am being charged for done to the car, is this allowed, what can i do?? Any help/advice would be much appreciated, Many Thanks
  6. hi there. i also took a course from cdf . i was sold the course by an extreemly fake pleasant man who new i was self employed and struggling , but because my wife was working he arranged the finance in her name(in fact he said i would have the course for free if she was not working)to cut a long story short i paid the first installment and started the course, then my wife stopped working and my work was non existant so i looked at the credit aggreement with a view to cancelling.on the green copy -the only piece of paper i was given, it stated on the front that details of how to cancel would be sent, having no other paperwork i rang cdf to ask about cancelling . the lady said i should first write to the college and ask them to cancel the course which they refused, i then rang back cdf and pleaded with them to cancel the course stating that i had 4 children, could not make the mortgage payment let alone pay the course fee, after this conversation they sent me an income and expenditure form to complete which i did, clearly showing that it would be impossible to pay for the course. (Infact it showed that I could pay them £5.00 per month which I would have to cut back by this amount on my food shopping) Could anyone please help/advise me have i any chance of getting out of this???? Thanks
