  1. Several years ago I paid the deposit on my sons rented house. When he left there were deductions as he had made a mess of the decorating. I accepted this amount. Upon requesting the remaining deposit I was told that another house sharer was claiming that she paid the deposit! The agent has since refused to pay me my money until I can sort out the matter. What should I do please?
  2. Thats all very well for the number savvy amongst us but not for those in a rush or otherwise easily confused. 0800 numbers should be free without having to faff around rerouting. Well done Ofcom I say. ...Eventually!
  3. I checked on my credit file and found that this bank had searched my file. The reason given was 'money laundering.' Odd that since this appeared my credit applications have been refused. What can I do? I don't even bank with this lot.
  4. Thanks for that bit of bad news! Seems I am stuck with debts I can no longer afford to pay.
  5. This thread is very interesting so could someone please help me? I have tried to pay off outstanding debts a few pounds at a time. All of them were taken out more than six years ago and debt collection agencies etc still write to me asking for more. Where do I stand with regard to the statute of limitations?
