  1. Hi, I'd like to ask a question regarding removing defaults associated with the Halifax and M&S. Since my last post I have had numerous dca's chasing me over these debts, sometimes up to 3 different DCAs at the same time! I respond to all of them with the 'rather bemused', 'telephone harasment' and 'coming to my home' letter templates. In summary neither the H or M&S had enforceable agreements, but this did not stop me continually getting harassed by these DCAs. I have made attempts for a F&F settlement, but didn't receive a response. I recently did a credit check and noticed defaults posted by both the Halifax and M&S. There are also several searches by Wescott, recently and on multiple occasions. Can I get these defaults cleared from my file? And why are DCAs doing multiple searches on my file? Should I be making official complaints regarding the H, M&S and the DCAs? Any help or suggestions would be greatly received. Many thanks.
  2. Hi Molly, & Happy Easter. You will get loads of good advice on here. Whilst awaiting others input I would recommend getting copies of your employer's policies (covering long-term sickness, disability etc.) & get clued up on them. Also make sure you write everything down in a diary; who said what, when etc. Print off all emails/letters to & from your employers regarding your sickness. Especially handy if you think you'll be sacked. I was in a similar situation a few years ago so I know how hard it is to cope sometimes. I'm sure others with far better advice will add their comments. I shall keep an eye on this thread and answer questions/help where I can. Good luck. P.
  3. Subbing with great interest. I am also in arrears with the Halifax and have found this thread very informative. Good luck JJ69.
  4. Can't wait to see if Mr. Lever responds again!
  5. You're welcome 389, although not my website. I didn't do all the apparent hard work, but what a find! Let me know if/when you get a response. A couple of years ago I managed to get £120 compensation out of British Gas, for repeatedly missing appointments (to change my prepayment meter). I was almost looking forward to them not turning up again;) Good luck.
  6. Hi Mjr, First thing I'd tell your wife to do is to ask her employers for a copy of their grievance procedure. If she can convince others to do the same then all the better. Raise a grievance in the correct manner and see what happens. HTHs.
  7. Here you go mate. A couple of pages down you'll find BG's Chief Exec's email address... CEO e-mail addresses - CEO email address - chief executive officer - managing director HTHs.
  8. Hi Carriesue, I believe bank overdrafts can be challenged in a similar way to credit cards, but someone with more experience will I'm sure be along shortly to advise properly. Good luck.
  9. Hi Fletch, I'm sure better informed users will be along to help soon, but in the meantime are you claiming any benefits? If so the sick note needs to be sent to your local Jobcentre Plus. If you are not in receipt of benefits go check out the following website Incapacity Benefit - introduction : Directgov - Disabled people This explains Incapacity Benefit. I'm so sorry you lost your father under such circumstances. This cannot be easy for you. I lost my father myself when I was 20 odd and it took me a good couple of years to come to terms with it, but this was because I didn't seek help! I hope posting on here is the first small step in getting your life back on track. It can & will get better for you I'm sure. Anyway I hope this helps in a small way.
