Hi, My car failed its mot so its up for sale for spares/repair, it is taxed until aug, I want to claim a refund, do I declare it SORN? I dont know if/when it will sell. what do I do about the V5? I am the registered keeper, just a little confused, any advice please.

Hi, I filled in a dla claim form in oct, was refused, I asked them to look again, they sent a doctor to my house in jan, I heard back from them today, refused again, can anyone advise what my next step is? I know I can appeal but just not sure of the right way to do it, just wondered if anyone on here knew anything?

Hi Reallymadwoman, I read your thread with great interest as we were in exactly the same position as you, did you ever get the backdated EMA if you dont mind me asking, we never did! Also the strain of having no money plus being pressured each day at college to buy art materials etc became too much for my daughter and she quit college, after being on Jobseekers for a month she was lucky to get an Apprentice Administration job at another college nearby, she wont be earning much but is a lot happier! We are now faced with a bill of £161 for an exam that she will not be taking and was not asked if she wanted to be entered into, she was absent for 2-3 weeks due to depression, the college knew there was a problem and are now phoning and sending letters asking for the money.Do you or anyone else know where we stand ? I'm on benefits due to long term illness, I cant pay and quite frankly dont wish to, but would like to know my rights. Can anyone advise me? I hope you got things sorted RMW....I'm thinking of writing to my MP to draw attention to the hardship students and parents face, it's just not right!

Last thursday my phone kept ringing, finally I listened to a message from Red...could Mr ? call them today on 0113, then 20 mins later the phone rang and it was 0113 (lowells) I told them to stop calling as Mr ? hadn't lived here for 5 yrs then slammed the phone down. The same thing happened again on friday txt messages then a phone call so I told them to remove my number or else! Then on saturday I received a letter for Mr ? unbelievable! I know the person they are trying to trace but I'm not going to make it easy for them! the debts are over 6yrs old anyway.

I must admit I smiled when I first read the letter But then I got angry as I've been paying this since 2003 and never missed a payment, currently paying £10 a month, well that's going to stop now as I need it for my gas meter! I might send them a similar letter quoting my Christmas Offer of £1 a month:)

Hi Rory, The only paperwork I can find is a letter from Thames thanking me for setting up a DD and I wrote on it, £1220...I cant remember what happened before that sorry, but my limit on card was £1000. Now that I'm older and wiser, I'm not happy paying the amount they say is due. I've struggled to pay this and other debts.

I have also read about how he conducts his business! Should I send him or Freds a copy of the no cca letter from Moorcroft? Should I also let them know that I know my rights etc and that if it goes to court he might lose? Just not sure how to handle it.

Hi, Forgive me but I have started a new thread as I didnt get much response to my post last night (but thankyou Creditcardmug) I have now got Fredricksons and Bryan Carter chasing me for an "alleged debt".....cca'd Moorcroft in apr/may, they replied no cca and returned my postal order. re Littlewoods. Bryan Carter is threatening court proceedings, can someone advise exactly what I should say in a letter please. If you want the full story, my other thread is..Moorcroft no cca now passed to Red Castle. Thankyou... p.s...I haven't replied to any of Fredricksons letters so far!
