  1. That would be great if only orange allowed access to T-mobiles network on my blackberry through orange. Unfortunately they dont. 3G Coverage here looks ok to according to the link you gave. Thanks anyway
  2. Nope I've found the answer out all by myself Apparently it's not on 3G here so it cant send/receive data while handling calls You would have thought that 1st level customer services would know that thought wouldn't you? Instead of telling me to reset my phone when I've already done that. They are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard
  3. Just sent this letter Thanks.... Dear Sirs, I would like to make a formal complaint and notify your that I will no longer require your services once my contract comes to an end. I have been an Orange customer since 2003 firstly as a PAYG customer then contract for the last 5 years and I have only 1 missed a payment (2 years ago) through a genuine bank mistake. I have had 4 handsets in the following order 1) 3310 (PAYG) 2) N70 (Contract) 3) SPV (Contract) 4) BlackBerry Curve 8900 (Contract) I have had an issue with my Blackberry since I first got it but hadn't realised until recently that I couldn't receive incoming calls while browsing the internet. I only noticed the problem when It was clear I wasn't receiving any text messages which turned out to be a separate issue as my phone wasn't picking texts up from the message centre. So I phoned 150 last week to ask for technical advice to see if it was a configuration issue I was advised to reset my handset and was told I would be sent instructions via email and that once Id done this (performed a wipe and reset) I should ring back and explain any ongoing issues. Firstly I didn't receive any instructions despite giving the British technician taking my email address, however I managed to install the blackberry software on my laptop and find the information I needed from there. I have today again phoned 150 and been put through to your Indian call centre. I explained the problem and I told the call centre I had already reset my phone, the first customer service advisor cut me off, as did the second. All I wanted to know was there a configuration issue with my phone, Id set my phone up as was told to do so by the Orange service centre when I initially got the phone. My complaint forms three parts. 1) I wasn't sent information despite being promised. 2) I was deliberately cut off after telling the Indian call centre I had already performed the tasks they insisted I had to do. 3) I am still unable to receive/accept incoming calls during Internet Browsing using the phone (All calls get directed to voice mail) Is the orange customer care so diabolical it refuses to help genuine long term customers in need of assistance and then deliberately cuts them off ? Needless to say, although I would like a prompt response to this email , I don't expect one and I am seriously looking at taking my custom to O2 in the next few months when my contract finishes. Yours me
  4. will do thanks. BTW Lowell tried the same with me on a statue barred debt last year. Told them my Job title at a NAtional Newspaper and that I got in touch with trading standards as their methods were illegal. IE they telephoned me after 8pm a night (their own record showed this) as I demanded their telephone records pertaining to them contacting me. Time 8:01 pm ... it is illegal to contact any debtor after 8pm at night. They still demined they had done it yet they sent me their records with it on. So told them I would publish the account nationally. they suddenly "closed" my account of a suppsed £1500 debt!!! Crazy scamsters, are bring investigated by the Serious Fraud office as their scams are bringning them income in over 1 million.
  5. Received a letter from a company named buchanan clark+wells in glasgow with an attached standing order Mandate for a debt of £840 to be paid in £30 installments claiming they are collecting the debt on behalf of the Royal Bank of Scotland. As I have NEVER banked with the Royal Bank of Scotland is it possible i have been the victim of ID theft or is it a [problem]? Advice pleas eon what I should do legally and what my options are? AS I say I have never banked with RBS so have no idea how this is possible.
  6. IF THEY HAVE LEGALLY PURCHASED IT and have proof being the operative function here. What they are doing is criminal.
  7. I now have a letter confirming they acknowledge the debt as statute barred. So no I'm going to sue them for damages for the stress and time off work I've had as a result of the stress. They wrote saying while I sent a recorded delivery letter which was signed for they appear not to have received it. So that admittance will go in my favour in court. They sent me typed transciprts of their call logs as well and I have phone records proving they range me after 8pm at night contradicting their letter saying they didn't. Their call centre staff was dumb enough to call me back without witholding the number as I requested.. Dumb git just lsot his companies case.
  8. Make sure you ask them for the ded of assignment. Without it they cannot collect jack ****t. I recently got them to send me a letter proving they didn't own the debt they had tried to claim from me. I am now in the process of suing them fro damages as the stress caused me to have time off work and has affected my future promotion prospects. I shall be suing them with the information they sent to me as evidence against them. So thanks for that lowell.
  9. Dont forget to send it recorded delivery.. Signed for ...
  10. Red have a winding up order on them , they should have been shut down don't worry the SFO are investigating them and Lowells Hope MR Bartle likes prison food.
  11. Lowells are under investigation with the Serious Fraud Office.,Trading standards the Office of Fair trading AND the Financial Services Authority. These investigations have been going on a while behind the scenes and a Winding Up order has already been served on Red SDebt collection services one of the groups arms. Rest assure the rest will follow and the directors will be called to account for their improprieties. A number of National Newspapers One of whom I work for , are also looking at them. The observer has already done a story last year on Red hence why it is now being wound up. Lowells are not far behind. Just ask them to take you to court then when they dont turn up as they have with the rest of the people who went to court you will be able to sue them for not only wasting your time but be able to prove they cannot prove the debt. They have a set time in which to respond and they have no proof of delivery for the letter they claim to have sent to neither can be proved. Its too late for them now and a COPY is not sufficient. Ignore them and wait for the summons. Is you debt not statute barred like the rest? IF so tell them its statute barred. I
  12. Ive reported Lowell To the Serious Fraud Office as I suggest you all do. Having asked for them to show the deed of assignment in wirting and discussing it with them on the phone asking them why they haven't replied and failed to legally follow my complaint they duly closed my "account" Writing off the debt I supposedly owed. This company has made 10 million from basically bullying and threatening people into submission when in fact they have got a legal leg to stand on. It has become more apprarent day by day that many of us here have seen them not turning up at court or not responding to legal letters simple because in FACT they DO NOT have the deed of assingment and therefore cannot prove they own the debt. So they are obtaining money by deception and furthermore demanding money by menace. THE SFO are very interested indeed. And especially seen as a winding up order has been served on RED debt collections MY Advice Ignore their letters ignore their calls , record eveything times dates, phone calls and report to Trading standards FSA OFT SFO Everyone should report them.
  13. If any of these firms contact you out of hours. Go to the oft website. Go to the credit Licencing section Address a letter to that they are in breach of their Licennce of the debt collection guidance of July 2003 Liquidators are now responsible... They have to prove the debt by having the deed of assignment. Red Financial Services Ltd is the name for the people people but Im not sure if it is the same as red debt collection services IE a trading name of the Lowell Group. The company collecting the debt are:::: appointed as liquidators are C/O Cowgill Holloway business recovery LLP 49 Peter Street Manchester M23NG
  14. After numerous Harrassing phone calls from Lowell. Red sent me another Letter. I phoned them and asked why they had not responded to my request for the deed of assignment and Subject Access Request back in January. They could not offer an explanation and when I phoned red back they wiped the debt out. So officially Lowell cannot collect naff all. I now have two conversations with two different people saying the account has been closed. Ignore the letters ignore the phone calls. This is all just a big [problem] by Lowell and the Serious Fraud Office are looking into it now.
  15. Just like to say anyone else reading this .. who has been affected then dont hesitate get those letters sent and contact both the OFT and trading standards. I went through Consumer Direct And the trading standard got in touch WITH ME...
