  1. I shall write and tell them that I am not prepared to accept their offer until they sent my SAR.
  2. I SAR'ed Barclays for my card and loan. They returned my cheque for £12.00., said it was not necessary. They send me a full and final settlement letter. Meantime I have send them aother cheque and SAR request. I don't feel that I can accept this without getting the full SAR reqest from them. What should I do? How do I know they are telling the truth about the amount involved?
  3. Thanks - I'm on the case regards mummybird
  4. Having obtained statements from Vanquish Bank re PPi. They show "Repayment Option Plan" deducted monthly. Does anybody know if this is the same as PPI Thanks Mummybird
  5. Happy New Year to you all. Phone calls stopped from Link 'cos I refused to speak to them. However the January letter has arrived today. Same as Jan 2008 letter. Basically saying not returning their calls, and "as the owners of your account we expect to recover the balance from you. Our intentions are not to to leave unpaid, etc etc. Did anyone else have this letter?
  6. Hello all, No word from Link for ages. Tele. call on Friday. Told them I was ill (which was true) and that I would not speak to them until they provided the correct docs. under Sec.77/78. They told me they didn't have to send anything. Ha! A letter this a.m from Link Financial Outsourcing and a document which was (guess what?), another copy of the original application for a Virgin Credit Card!! I've got several of those now!
  7. Hooray, Lloyds have agreed to pay me £4800.00. Its taken 3 years. Now they have agreed, it will take up to two months to sent me a cheque. I shall keep at them. Thanks for everybodies help.xx mummybird
  8. Good news Lloyds have sent me an offer, which I'm happy with. Be warned though it will take up to two months for the payout.
  9. Well, after three years with the Ombudsman, lloyds have agreed to a payout. i quote "Lloyds TSB has told us that it would like to make an offer as a gesture of goodwill, with no admission of liability, to settle your complaint". How much longer I will have to wait for the actual money and I don't know how much yet........ Should be about £4000
  10. Can anyone help with an LBA, bearing in mind my case has been with FOS since jULY 2008 when my complaint was upheld by an adjudicator, but they received no response from Lloyds and referred it to their Ombudsman and apart from occasional letters saying how busy they are nothing - so am considering going back to the bank following the judicial review.
  11. I suppose I'm a bit scared of the court route, because of the costs involved. Having laid out several hundred pounds for my children and step children over bank charges and getting nowhere. I could afford to help them at the time but now I'm not so well off. Anyway I suppose the LBA would be a start. Is there a template for it anywhere. I've used the bank charges one a few years back, but can't find it now.
  12. Thanks for all your advice. I have a copy of the original agreement, which shows quite clearly the "tick" in the No box for PPI. I had a secure job and because my credit usage was small, did not require it. However Lloyds say they offered it by telephone at a later date, which happened to be the 14th August 2003. I definately know they are lying because I'm never home on that date. I always, always visit my mother on that date because it is her birthday. They've never proved their phone call. Its a pity that three of the witness' at her party have since passed away and I only have my duaghter's word about my attending this annual party.
