  1. So been communicating back and forth all week. I've paid back original loan plus interest and asked to close my file as all other fees they have added are unfair. Having quoted OFT guidelines to them regarding adding charges that are disproportionate to the the debt I keep getting a generic response back, telling me that I've instructed a third party to act on my behalf. Which of course I havent. I will win this.
  2. Right had a payment plan with these guys for 6 months. Every month I pay cash directly into their account, always on or before due date. 2 days later I get txts and emails telling me I havent paid, charges are being added, the recovery agents are coming! etc etc. So this month I've had enough offered a f & f to close account. Let this be an end to it.
  3. I took out my Mini credit in November last year, in true payday loan numpty style rolled over for 4 months. It took me 2 months to get them to agree any sort of Full and final or repayment plan. When they did offer a full and final it was £685 on a £300 loan, with all those contractual interest harges and debit fee attempts. When I rejected and questioned that it was passed over to Mackenzie Hall who agreed £274 and closed account. Not seen a default on my account either. Like Rene says stick to your guns.
  4. Timeforachange Your experience totally mirrors mine. Definetely dispute all the the 'passing over to DCA charges' because I'll bet they didnt tell you that was happening. And all erroneous additional charges. These guys were the ones that really scared me to begin with but they were actually ok once they realise you know your rights thanks to this forum. Do not be bullied.
  5. My loan was with Toothfairy. All the advice on here is NOT to phone them, and I totally agree with that, everything in writing. So I emailed Marshall Hoares after their first email communication disputing the additional charges for passing the debt over without informing me, also the additional interest charges added when they had received a rollover payment, yet the account had been passed over - it bounced with 'please use the webform' reply. Sent same email via webform. I had call on my mobile at work from NDR, I answered it and they agreed to wipe charges, set up repayment plan, however being very wary that this lot operate with so many different names I requested everything to be confirmed by email. Which both NDR and MH did that afternoon. I am 3 months into repayment and intend to offer a f & f at some point. It is still hurting the pocket but I just want rid.
  6. Collie Hope you are okay. Please don't worry soo much. I was in a mess with this bunch and also got very scared at their tactics. They really are bullies. Stick with Rene's advice.
  7. niw you'll get good advice from this lot Just keep all emails, letters, and don't call them. I had the NDR/Marshall Hoares situation, all the same company. Under the CIM Technology umbrella I believe ? Anyway Minicredit are a total pain. In my experience I emailed every other day and it took two months for them to pass the debt over to Mackenie Hall. Stay strong.
  8. One down, five to go. 6 months into this and my 3.5k payday loan nightmare is down to £2.2k. PDUK should be gone next month. Toothfairy will be hanging around until July next year. Couldnt have done it without this forum.
  9. Can at last say I've paid these off. Mackenie Hall were the DCA, cleared the unrealistic £685 with a one off £274. Were actually ok to deal with too.
  10. Update All PDL companies being paid. Minicredit at last passed over to DCA Mackenzie Hall and have agreed a one off reduced payment. Everyone else is getting monthly payments, it is hard but have paid £1000 off in 3 months. Hoping I can afford lump sum offerings by November I should be clear before Xmas.
  11. Update Letter and txt from Mackenzie Hall yesterday. Have agreed to clear balance of £685 for £274. However want to see this in writing.
  12. Update Minicredit said they were passing on to inhouse DCA. Yet 15th June I get more phonecalls and another 'we are coming to visit you letter' stating I owe £1047. Tackled them on this and get an apology! Delay in passing account over..... Still waiting.
  13. Lil I kept on and on repeating my offer. Every single time they sent me a generic 'please contact pde' email or 'you don't fit our criteria' email I responded with 'this is my ninth email (or whatever number it was think I got to 16.) I CC'd every email to every customer care/support email address I could find. My emails were as repetitive as theirs, reminded them when I first advised I was in financial difficulty, how many times I've told them I was in financial difficulty told how much I could afford, that it wasnt negotiable, and how un-cooperative they were being given that : OFT guidance states that 'when a person contacts the lender and says they are in financial difficulty, then the lender must take that under advisement and come to a mutually agreed repayment plan' Also : You now leave me no option but to complain about your avoidance of setting up a repayment plan. You offered a hardship account and demanded sensitive information which you know you are not entitled to, under OFT regulation and the Data Protection Act 1998 you are not allowed any of this information. Or: The OFT has stated 'it is a basic principle that creditors cannot refuse to accept payments from a debtor. If we receive evidence of a creditor operating a deliberate policy of refusing to accept debtor created repayments plans to the point where it is causing more detriment we may view this as an unfair business practice' It is my view that you are increasingly adding more charges and interest to cause further financial distress to me. Its really tedious and repetitive but has to be done. Eventually I complained and got a letter within 10 days offering a repayment plan that I had suggested. Just don't give up. My credit rating is shot to pieces, got more defaults now than Mr default from default town, but there was no way I could keep on rolling over. Let us know how you get on.
  14. Paul PDUK were okay to deal with, PDE were stubborn but rene's advice was bang on and I just kept on and on emailing, eventually they gave in to a repayment plan. Minicredit as you know are ongoing.
  15. So pduk have received 2 payments Wonga 2 payments Toothfairy 1 payment Speed-e-loans 2 payments PDE first one next week and good old minicredit are still being stubborn. I honestly thought toothfairy were going to be the bad guys. Should be free of this before Christmas. Six weeks ago I was in a mess, am back in control.
