  1. I agree, don't contact them again..... They will probably send you a extra letter compared to me who now ignores all the letters and just laughs and puts them in the draw. They will get more intimidating and threatening but just ignore them and don't worry... they will cease after a few months. Happy Ignoring... M
  2. Guys, Just ignore them... don't even acknowledge or write to them because they will completely ignore all your letters and just demand their fee which is actually an "invoice" I have 3 invoices running at the moment from different car parks, just put them in your draw or in the bin and get on with your life. At first I was stressing like everyone else but these "invoices" are illegal especially if they say its a fine because only the courts in UK can legally fine you. they will threaten you and then you will get a letter from a debt collector company or solicitor (just their sister company) with more CCJ threats... Ignore Ignore Ignore and they will eventually go away... and never pay because its an invoice and its a nightmare to get your money back..
  3. Hi, I had several letters from that debt collector, read the words they say possible courts proceedings. I got 4 letters but IGNORE them all no matter how scary they make you feel. After each letter I came back here and read some more to reassure myself that they where just scaring me into paying and then I put the letter away and forgot about it. Its been about 2 months now since the last letter and I suspect they have given up on me because I never caved in... Matt
  4. Hi I just read a letter from LRC or whatever they are called because I parked in the wallington ldil for £115. I have tried unsuccessfully to appeal (once) by proving I was a customer and shopped in lidls. Now I just ignore the letters. Should I continue ignoring this debt collection? I did send a email a few months ago asking them to prove who was driving but they ignored that email
  5. Hi I got a letter a few month ago from Atena and now I have a new letter from Legal recoveries and collections LTD (LRC) stating that there is an outstanding account by their client of £115. Should I contact them or just ignore it. I did send atena a email asking for them to prove who was driving but I have not heard back from them.
  6. Hi I have a PCN from Camden saying "failing to drive in the direction shown by the arrow on a blue sign (passing to the wrong side of the sign) I was on a motorbike and by all the 4 pictures it doesn’t actually look like I passed on the right side of the bollard... When I phoned Camden a lady said that I was stationary in the Island and that’s why I got the fine. How can you get a fine for stopping on a motorbike waiting for cars. You can see by the photos I was watching the car to my right and I am going to appeal on the ground that this contravention did not happen. First I did not pass on the right but was following the traffic and stopped for safety for a few second so a car could go through... How can you get fined for stopping on a broken white line island? If it was a single or double solid line I would understand? What do you experts think?
  7. Hi, at this junction you can only turn right or left and there are 2 lanes to do so. I was in the right lane and the road ONLY turns right (T-Junction) I have not asked for the video footage but did get some photos (been looking for them since made the original post) I will phone lambeth now and see if i can get the video now. regards matt
  8. Hi I just remembered another fact but cant prove it as I returned the original document. I received the first notice about 20 days after I got the fine.
  9. However, you may enter the box and wait when you want to turn right, and are only stopped from doing so by oncoming traffic, or by other vehicles waiting to turn right." "My interpretation is that you CAN enter when you turn right (as I was) but another car (also turning right) was prohibiting me from continuing.. I think they are trying to nail me for "entering and stopping in a box junction" and are ignoring the fact that I was trying to turn right.
  10. Hi People, I wonder if someone could help. I received a fine on the 07/09/07 (31 entering and stopping in a box junction when prohibited) streatham vale (eardley road) I was clearly turning right as that is the only option you can do when you are moving from that side of the road. I had read that you can enter a box junction and turn right as that was aloud in the LAW. Then I got a fine from Lambeth....!!!! I read some of the articles here and wrote back to them stating that I should not have the fine due to the current law on box junctions.... and stated why... NOW... today I have received a letter from them (NOTICE OF REJECTION OF REPRESENTATIONS) They state that ... they have rejected the representation. I fell they are saying that I entered the box junction, QUOTE" YOU MUST NOT ENTER THE BOX UNTIL YOU EXIT ROAD IS CLEAR. THE ONLY TIME THAT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE BOX AND WAIT IS WHEN YOU WANT TO TURN RIGHT, AND ARE ONLY STOPPED FROM DOING SO BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC, OR OTHER VEHICLEAS WAITING TO TURN RIGHT" That’s what happened I tried to turn right and another vehicle was blocking me, so as not to stop the flow of traffic I then attempted to move around the vehicle. Am I right? CAN I appeal or must I accept my fate and pay the fine? Thanks in advance. Matt
  11. Well I have a letter from Halifax today saying they have offered me £800 as a gesture of goodwill. My total charges where £1900 so I am not sure if I should write another letter and ask for the full amount or just accept. If I do does anyone have a template for me on what to say? What is everyone’s Opinion? I would like to hear from someone that has pursued the full claim successfully.
  12. 4 June update - I decided to call the 0845 number on the page they sent me. It actually has a automated message for bank charges......!!! I eventually got through to Sarah Molson who says she will reopen my complaint and they are dealing with each complain in order they received them. Now I have to wait 6-8 weeks.... Sound like a stalling tactic to me... Will keep you updated...
  13. Hi all, where to start. So far I have written to Halifax (my branch) and requested all my bank charges. I received them last week mid May 07. It totalled £1900 for 4 years. I sent another letter requesting that they refund me and this morning I got a letter saying that they "declined my complaint" Not sure what to do next 1. Call them at the customer relation. 2. Write another letter before court. Any help would be welcome.
