  1. Further to the above post we met with doctor today who has diagnosed the clots as three strokes. Im angry that this was not picked up whilst she was an in patient. It would seem she was having the strokes whilst in hospital. Further scans are being arranged to ensure there are no active cancer cells which apparently may be responsible for the clotting.
  2. Hello I hope someone can guide me on how to make a strong complaint. My younger sister had most of her lung removed for lung cancer last october. She then began a course of chemotherapy. Early December she was admitted back into hospital with severe head pain and lower leg pain. On CT scanning it was revealed that she had a large clot in her leg and was treated with aspirin. We were told that to do anything surgically would be dangerous. The scan on her head revealed a blood clot in her brain. She was discharged and referred back to her cancer doctor who stopped the chemo and organised an MRI. This took place last week and revealed that she now has multiple clots forming. She has now been referred to a blood specialist who will organize daily injections of warfarin. Her eyesight is badly affected and she shuffles about because of this. My sister is 40. My complaint is based on why she was not followed up whilst she was an in patient when they discovered the first blood clot to her brain. Even her cancer doctor queried this whilst explaining how serious this is. Thank you for any advice.
  3. Hi Just subbing to this as I am in a similar situation with Apex, they are not the nicest DCA to deal with. They ignore everything. Would be interested to know if they are allowed to demand a combined amount, particularly if one account is in dispute due to charges. Does anyone have any sort of letter to deal with this?
  4. Good for you. Would have thought this one for the press!!!!
  5. Hi, I hope someone can offer some advice on the following. I am about to commence civil action for refund of mis sold PPI. Having requested a full S.A.R,the documents supplied pertaining to this and loan have been altered and bear no resemblance to any document that I signed. This is from 2001. From reading around the various threads, most advice appears to suggest bringing this to the attention of the police (fraud) Can I still go ahead with my claim or wait to see what the Police suggest?
  6. I have been paying a regular amount on a CCJ. This was for an outstanding debt with provident personal loans. Having read through a lot of threads, it appears I might be able to challenge this in some way ?(set aside)as I was never issued with any kind of default notice. I got into difficulties paying the collector, then it was passed to a DCA. I sent for credit agreement which they supplied along with statement of account, but no default notice. Am I wrong in thinking I should have had one before they took it to court?
  7. I have been paying £5 p.m to Lloyds for a loan, and they are forever phoning to increase my repayments. I've sent the telephone harassment letter. The latest caller was quite rude when I explained I could not afford more from my disability income. She almost demanded that I send further evidence of what I receive and what I pay my other creditors. I suffer with epilepsy so I just did not appreciate getting wound up. I have been paying as fairly as I can to who I owe. Is there anything that says I HAVE to show what my income is?
  8. Car2403 Thank you again:) Letter mailed, will post on their response to that.
  9. Thank you again car, very much appreciated. I'm so in a mess.
  10. Hi car thanks again for your reply. I should have made it a little clearer, that WAS the letter I sent them in july. Wish you well with yours.
  11. Hi Peter once checked my provident agreement and came up with the following if it helps. I've contacted him again as I've just received a claim form from northampton. Will let you know what response I have from Peter. The agreement is on page 356 of CCA thread Re: Re Provident-(post 7117) Quote: Originally Posted by taurus66 Hi I have onny glanced so far ut i see no interest ratewhich is of course a prescribed terms. PM me if you like Best regards Peter
  12. Could someone please confirm whether I should ignore the "notice of Intended proceedings" or write and remind robinson way I am still awaiting a reply to my letter of 31st July? RE: Your recent correspondence. Thank you for your phone call today, and for agreeing to communicate only in writing. from the content of the call, it appears that you are claiming I have breached a term of a contract with HFC Bank, Ltd. I am not clear, however: (a) what interest you hold in such a breach, or (b) since I have had no default notice, what the nature of the breach was. In relation to point a, I would ask if you are the owner under an equitable assignment, or the agent of HFC Bank. If you are an agent, I would ask you to provide a power of attorney for the agreement; if owner, I would ask that HFC Bank provides appropriate notice of this fact, and confirms your entitlement to any benefit. I would like to speedily resolve and rectify this alleged breach, and therefore would ask you to provide, in relation to point b, a detailed break down of the nature of the alleged breach, the date it occurred, and how it can be rectified. I would remind you of your obligations, under the Civil Procedure Rules, to act reasonably in relation to this matter and to avoid where possible the expense of legal action. In particular, terminating the agreement and bringing the matter to court when I have stated my intention to, if possible, make good any breach would seem a breach of these objectives. I thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
  13. Thank you for your reply car2403. I agree there is more than a similarity in both cases. . I had thought to remind them of the last correspondence I sent in July but I think I shall just wait and see what robinson way do next.
  14. Thank you for your fast reply tomterm. The agreement had been supplied to me from HFC which I had queried as per my post number 1. Should I send a CCA request to robinson way to see what they hold?
  15. Thank you all for your replies, it is much appreciated. Thanks for the links also. I will send a p.m to tomterm thanks noomill. Will see what he can suggest.
