  1. Thanks What will happen to existing loans? Chrissie x
  2. Thank you. How will this effect us hoping to claim back PPI or those of us that still have loans with them? Chrissie x
  3. Hi So I don't have to troll through the 400+ pages of this thread, could someone tell me what the score is with Cattles. I must of had my head in the sand for the last 12 months, admitidly I haven't been on the forum, but all this is news to me? So could someone pleeeeeaaaaaase bring me up to speed. Thanks Chrissie x
  4. HI I have been away from this forum for some time now and just popped in to look at the PPI milarky. Could someone please give a brief synopsis on what is happening with "good-ol" welcome. I took out a 1K loan with them 13 months ago with 11 months to run. Payments are £71 per month, some of this will be PPI as well as interest and capital total repayment £1704. What's my best course of action, should I sit tight or try and claim the PPI back? How are loan companies handling this, i.e. if I claim the PPI back will I be "blacklisted" in the future for loans. Chrissie x
  5. Had a very positive response from Patrick Hall MP Bedford last week. Have attached file. He would like to contact someone from the CAG if one of the MODs could PM me with relevant contact details Chrissie Patrick Hall letter scan.pdf
  6. I have received a second reply from MP Patrick Hall, without any further correspondence from myself, so he is obviously taking the matter seriously. He basically is saying that it may take a couple months for him to get repsonse from FSA. He agrees with me that the OFT's legal proceedings are welcome, but is concerned that no-one represented the "rights" of millions of customers when the FSA discussed the basis of the agreement with the banks in the light of Litigation and he will be persuing this with the FSA. If anyone would like a to see a scan of the letter please PM me and I will forward. He also requested details of a contact at CAG that he could contact. Can one of the MODs please PM the relevant info. Thanks Chrissie
  7. Another victory And this one without even entering court proceedings. In May I sent MBNA (Alliance & Leicester credit card) a claim for £390, which included £90 of interest. On the 28th June I receved a leter with the usual blah blah blah goodwill payment of £180. I wrote back and said I would accept this as part payment and if they did not refund full amount I would proceed with court action. I heard nothing and was going to enter MCOL this week. Today I got a letter offering me a further £288 goodwill payment which in total is £468, £90 more than I was claiming in the first place. Wont see any of it as I still owe them some omeny but at least it has reduced the debt and will reduce my interest charges. Chrissie

  9. I had a nice reply from my MP, Patrick Hall - Bedford, yesterday. I hope people who look on the roll call of MPs thread do not get put off contacting their MP because they are already on the list. The more letters individual MPs receive the more seriously they are likely to take it. Chrissie
  10. Perhaps you could let us all into the secret, it is a bit strange. Chrissie
  11. Patrick Hall MP Bedford and Gordon Brown Chrissie
