  1. HSBC have already advised they are applying for a stay, do I still need to turn up then? Thanks again for everyones help with this
  2. I really dont want to get done for costs especially considering the sum im asking for, how do I go about cancelling the claim?, Sorry again
  3. Hi I have been given a court date for the 19th of September Vs HSBC for a claim of near £700 total. HSBC have already advised they will be applying for a stay. I will not be in the country as at the last minute I am being sent to the US for work. Is it possible to not turn up in person? I might be able to find someone else to show up for me , but this is also unlikely. Any help much appreciated really dont want to go back to the start again. Thanks
  4. Thanks for that, on printing out the charges again I noticed there was a mistake in the first cell of the spreadsheet due to the formulas not copying down properly, this amounts to £4.15, so stupid I know, checked and checked dont know how i missed it. Is it worth sending it through with an explanation or do I have to start over? Have already filed with court? Sorry for wasting peoples time with this.
  5. Hi I have filed for court with HSBC and sent of the allocation questionnaire to the Northampton county court. Just got a letter from the solicitors asking for a complete table of charges, I have already sent these to the courts and HSBC. Is this just a delay tactic, if not should I send them another copy? Thanks
  6. Hi our lease expires on May 9th, out landlord is refusing to repay the bond until we find a new tennant for the room, is this legal?
  7. Why not ? That's what I paid in penalties (fees plus interest charged) plus the 8% I am entitled too when making a court claim. I am not claiming contractual interest the whole way, I am claiming the lowest rate on the charges for the period in debt where relevant.
  8. Thanks for all the advice and support, I am going to file a court claim against them. Just need to know if the 14 days has passed on the LBA claim and they have offered a settlement do I still have to send a letter rejecting the claim? If so can I file and send the letter on the same day. Thanks so much again, actually can't wait to put this through.
  9. Hi ,got a letter from Natwest on Thursday offering full settlement of my charges £935, but I had claimed the interest they had charged me on those penalties. I did it similar to the complex spreadsheet except I put in every balance update and used the lowest overdraft rate charged over the 3 years. I believe this to be completely fair as it seems to be as accurate as you can get. The total plus the O.D interest is £1122 then adding the 8% on this again. I am concerned, as this is obviously a unique claim in terms of how I have figured it out I might be made an example of. Has anyone else tried to do something similar or even using the complex charges spreadsheet has there been any success?. Sent the prelim letter on the 25/2, sent the LBA on the 14/3, then corrected on error on the 28/2 and resent the LBA. I received the settlement letter on the 5/4. Any help much appreciated, thanks
  10. Hi I have had a joint account with HSBC for 3 years then changed it over to my name only a year ago. I have requested all the statements etc and I am ready to file a claim. The charges are spread throughout the term of the account. Just thought of this yesterday and was wondering if it could cause a problem e.g the bank will use it as an excuse not the pay. The other person from the account is no longer in the country. Any help much appreciated
  11. Stupidly just realized I made a mistake on my prelim and LBA letter. I am claiming for £1122.35 but put £1222.35 in both, the spreadsheets however have the correct amount. Sorry to be a nuisance. I did check over and over just one of those things. Shall I start the process again or resend the LBA with the correction in it. Do I need to state that a correction has been made?.Thanks for any help Apologies for wasting your time.
