  1. I've been Experian customer since 2008 and never knew I was paying for ID insurance until I read this article and actually asked them to confirm I was paying premiums. This is what they told me:- I thought all along I was paying for accessing my credit report only since I've never asked for ID insurance and wasn't told it was part of the package when I signed up. The reason some pay £14.99 and some £9.99 is that when Experian changed their subscription pricing, they included all benefits for current members for the £9.99 price. All new members (who signed up after the price increase) are charged £14.99. This was what Experian explained when I questioned the price increase at the time.
  2. Ah thank you for the clarification - I will look on the ICO website how to go about complaining to them first. Many thanks!
  3. Hi Becky, I have not contacted ICO - I was left with the impression that you can either contact ICO which will review the case for you OR pursue solution through the Court - wasn't aware that ICO would advise of strategy? Thank you
  4. Dear all, I'm hoping you could help me with advice - I have sent my ex-employer a Subject Access Request in order to use the results in an upcoming tribunal proceedings. Employer sent me some irrelevant information and said they don't think they need to comply any further, although I sent them quotes form the ICO website which state otherwise. I now intend to take them to County Court to enforce compliance. I am struggling with the exact form I need to fill out and what is it I need to do exactly. I search the site and several people noted that I need to pursue this under the Small Claims Track? I also found this website with forms - LINK - but I'm not sure if they are the ones I need and which one should I complete? Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  5. Hi all, Decided to post this here and in the Halifax forum to see if anybody has had or is going through something similar or if anybody can give any general ideas on how to approach this. Three weeks ago I have applied for Halifax Clarity Credit card and got immediate acceptance with relatively high credit limit. At the time of applying, the APR stated on their website was 12.9%. When I got my welcome letter they stated the APR is actually 21,9% which I think is borderline sub-prime. I have complained to their Customer Services about this and asked for them to provide me with some a reasonable explanation of how they have decided I am a high risk creditor. My credit file is indeed perfect - two large balance credit cards that have been cleared and accounts settled, no account with delayed or missed payments, etc. Now, I understand that the APR is variable and depends on the personal circumstances and that I am not guaranteed to get that APR, however I am genuinely struggling to find one justifiable reason why I would not get the 12.9% APR. After a very annoying phone conversation with they Customer Services and being really annoyed with their attitude I have decided to take this to FOS. Do you think there is any point in this? How would I approach it - anything particular you think I should consider? Many thanks in advance for those who respond.

  7. Hi Don't know if this is the right forum so apologies if it isn't. I got email alert today that a company called Creation Consumer Finance has made a search on my Equifax credit file. I don't know that company and never entered in any form of arrangements with them. I already emailed Equifax requesting a clarification for the search. I googled them and I'm getting anxious by all the horrible things I'm reading about this company. The only thing I've applied recently is a sofa from DFS but the credit agreement is with Black Horse and is not on a deferred payment (start paying straight after the sofa is delivered). Does anybody have any ideas?!
  8. Hi I searched around the site but couldn't find any template for requesting statement onf accont from a creditor. Or should i not bother with this and just SAR them. The loan has been paid off for sometime but the other company has never actually bothere about sending documents (the last they contated us was like 2 years ago). Also - if I SAR them do you reckon they will not honour the monthly repayment agreement we've had? I'm talking about Fenton Cooper. Thanks!
  9. Hi, Can you please post the letter? I am currently waiting for decision on two claims I submitted to them! :-|
  10. Subscribing! This is better than Eastenders...
  11. Hi, I am interested in the background of all your cases as I'm going to start similar to your procedings. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  12. Hi, Is there any template letter that I can use when writing to the company concerned? Thanks!
  13. I see - still, if there are currently payments that are being made, then certainly the account should not be updated with 5 (!!!) defaults. I can see why they would register the first default, when the account originally defaulted but to then not register this at all with any CRA and then to suddenly enter 5 defaults seems bizarre to me! Also I wonder why this has not been registered with Equifax and Experian ...
  14. Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have prepared a letter to CallCredit which I will send tomorrow. All defaults are registered from Lloyds TSB Assett Finance. I don't understand why they are registering anything if this account has already been passed on to debt collection agency and is being repaid?!
  15. Hi all, I've posted this in the Debt Collection thread but I thought I'd post it here as this is very Lloyds oriented forum - hope the mods won't mind the double post! Very bizarre thing has happened and I hope you can offer some advice. Hubby used to have a loan with Lloyds TSB (black Horse) which was passed on to a debt collection agency as he defaulted on it back in 2003. Since then, the Debt Collection agency has complied with CCA request and provided us with properly executed credit agreement etc and hubby has set up a payment plan with them, which is paid by direct debt. Today, by a mere chance, he is checking his CreditCall report through annualcreditreport site and suddenly there is a default registered on this loan on 09-2005, then from 07-2006 to 09-2007 it shows status unknown and then Defaults registered for the months: 10-2007, 11-2007, 12-2007, 01-2008, 02-2008 !!!!! I have copy of all the correspondence with the debt collection agency, which clearly states that the loan has been transferred to them. NO entries of this loan at all are recorded on Equifax or Experian! Now, what do you think we should do? Should we send S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) to Lloyds and see what they come up with? There was a template somewhere in the forum for S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) letter, which was specifically drawn for requesting information - not the standard charges SAR letter - if anybody can remember and/or has a link to it, please post it here. This has made me very anxious as it turned out I don'tknow who and for what exactly we've been paying all that time!!! Thank you in advance for the understanding and help!
