  1. No, the charges I have already claimed amounted to £3500.00. What I am trying to get at, is why is there a difference on the CCA. I was told by someone at my branch, that Natwest do add extra amounts on, but when I queried it with their CRU in Borehamwood it was like banging my head against a brickwall. Nattie - if you are here perhaps you can offer some advice?
  2. Hi, Thanks for your reply. Have just worked out the figures dont match up. the loan itself was £24k, PPI £6055 Interest @ 7.6% = £7021.56. This makes the total payable £37979.99 yet on their agreement it shows total payable £38764.32. So why the difference. I have detailed this in a letter which I have also copied in Fred Goodwin, just so he sees what a shambles his bank is. I have also supplied OFT and FSA who are both investigating complaints against Natwest. I know the loan is kinda high, was abit naive a few years ago (also had my daughter and become a single parent). Natwest kindly offered to consolidate everything and like a fool I took it. Well I am back now seeking blood (theirs preferably).
  3. Right here goes. I have an acct with Natwest. I have a personal loan with them for £24k, which I am trying to reclaim some back. This is because my overdraft at the time was £1000 but what with charges they have exceeded this to nearly double. I have been looking closely at my loan agreement and find it abit strange and need some assistance. The total loan amount to £38764, which included £6055 PPI. I have cancelled the PPI already and was refunded approx £4000. When I add the figures up I cant get it to tally. The interest rate was 7.8%, can someone help with the amount of interest i will be paying. I got into a mess, as Natwest took it upon themselves to cancel the direct debit one month, (no explantation ever received, apart from whoop bank error). Then then insisted I repay the outstanding direct debit over a period of 5 months on top of my regular payments. I told them at the time this was going to cause me problems, but was told tough the bank wants it money. Since I have claimed back charges from the account, they have defaulted me which I have contested and taken my debit card and cheque book. The account remains open, but obviously I am unable to use it. They keep adding interest to this, even though I have sent them a letter requesting them not to. I have been in contact with Joyce Tudor and am waiting for the rest of my docs relating specifically to this. I have reported them to OFT (who are investigating this) and ICO. Any help / suggestions would be welcome.
  4. Bump......... Anyone Please
  5. Have recd the CCA documents from CL finance today but am not sure what they have sent is correct. The CCA that they have sent clearly states at the top in bold letter, application to open account. My status and employment details have not been filled in and the PPI has been ticked by whoever completed the form (its not in my handwriting). To be honest I dont think this is what I asked for. They have also sent me copy of the deed of assignment, which is an extract. The details are not specific to me and I have never recd a Notice of Assignment. I am not sure what to do next. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  6. I have today recd CCA paperwork from CL Finance and am now unsure. I have a copy of the application to open account (it states this in bold letters at the top). My living status, employment details have not been filled in. The PPI box has been ticked by however completed the application form. (its not in my handwriting). There is a clause of right to cancel, but says details will be sent in post. To be honest I dont think this is enforceable but need clarification before I send the dimwit at CL finance a snotty letter requesting CCA again. They have also sent me an extract of the deed of assignment. All this tells me is that CL have brought debts from GE and nothing specifically relating to the alleged debt. How should I proceed with this. Any help will be appreciated.
  7. The route I am going to go, is that they made this condition AFTER acceptance. If this is the case, I will withdraw it and we can continue to fight etc. In all fairness Natwesthave really cocked up and they know it. Will call the lady back and see what she has to say. I am not in arrears with my loan, they have been mis-allocating the money each month which I have told them about. I am also considering reporting them to Trading Standards, FSA. I have already complained to FOS.
  8. Hi I have a loan which is running at the moment with Natwest. Ihave taken them to FOS, who has got them to agree to refund me the £2600 which they mis-sold me. I have been in contact with them today regarding this and some other issues, and was told that they wont issue the cheque but take it off my loan. I have told in her in circumstances do I want it paid like that but want a cheque. My question is can she force me to take the money off my loan. There are also alot of unanswered issues regarding the loan, which is in itself another complaint. If necessary can I withdraw my acceptance of this offer. Please help me
  9. Hi - You need to call them and request that they send you a breakdown of how they have calculated the charges. Also have you check entitledto.co.uk it should give you an idea of how much you were entitled to and perhaps you can then work the difference. I would also fill out a dispute form and see how you go from there.
  10. Hi, thats going to be my next step. How have you worded it. Am not very good writing letters.
  11. Hi This is whats on nexts website regarding their T & C: Next Directory Account Details I understand that a credit account will be opened for me and that there will be a £3.75 charge for the Next Directory which will be invoiced later. I confirm that I am over 18 and UK resident. I understand that a Card may be issued to me to allow me to use my Account in store to return, exchange or purchase. (Store transactions will be charged to your account normally within 1 day of purchase and purchases from the Next Directory will be charged 10 days after the goods are despatched.) We will make searches about you at credit reference agencies who will supply us with credit information, as well as information from the Electoral Register. The agencies will record details of the search, whether or not credit is granted. We may use credit scoring methods to assess your application and to verify your identify. Credit searches and other information which is provided to us and/or the credit reference agencies, about you and those with whom you are linked financially, may be used by Next Directory and other companies if credit decisions are made about you or other members of your household. This information may also be used for debt tracing and the prevention of money laundering as well as the management of your account. Information held about you by the credit reference agencies may already be linked to records relating to people with whom you are linked financially. For the purposes of credit searching you may be treated as financially linked and you will reassess with reference to any "associated" records. If we enter into a credit agreement with you we will also supply details of your agreement with us to the credit reference agencies, as well ongoing details of your account and how you manage it. I have written confirmation to say that Next do not hold Credit Agreements, so this is basically aload of crap. They can not enforce the debt without the agreement and as per their T & C, if they enter you into their credit system then you will recieve it. None of this is worth the paper its written on. I am going to print this off the website and use it with regards to telling them to get stuffed:grin: If you do not repay on time, or in full, we will tell the credit reference agencies who will record details of the debt. All this information will be seen by other organisations carrying out later searches. You have the right of access to your personal records held by credit reference agencies and we will supply their names and address upon request to the Data Protection Manager, Next Directory, Desford Road, Enderby, Leicester, LE19 4AT or via [email protected]. The credit reference agencies may also use the records for statistical analysis about credit, insurance and fraud. We may make periodic searches of group record and credit reference agencies to manage your account with us, to take decisions regarding credit, including whether to make credit available or to continue or to extend existing credit. These searches will not be available to other lenders for credit assessment purposes. We may also use your information, including shopping habits, to open and run your credit account including payment recovery, fraud prevention and debt tracing and for our marketing. We may contact you for marketing purposes by mail, telephone, email or otherwise. Next Directory is a trading name of Next Retail Ltd and a member of Next Group Plc. Some of the information you provide may be transferred outside the European Economic Area for processing. However, strict rules regarding the confidentiality of security of your information are in place to safeguard it.
