  2. Hi there my wife is with One Call Direct and her policy would renew on June 1st, we have just come back from holiday and she notice they have taken the renewal payment already and we have found a letter from them saying they will take payment up to 5 days before the renewal date, is this legal? It seems odd to me they can take it before the old policy finishes. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated
  3. Thanks again to you all for the replys, I've no idea what I would have done without the support you get from you guys
  4. Hi there I'm sorry for posting again about very little, Wescott have gone all quiet should I be worried by this?
  5. Thanks for the replys sometimes it all gets on top of me a bit and I can't think straight, I really appreciate the assistance I get from everyone
  6. Hello again I think I'm looking for a little reassurance again I seem to be getting letters from Wescott saying Nat West Reatail are offering a discount on the outstanding debt, am I right to just ignore these. Thanks
  7. I have moved a few times since taking it out, I sent an SAR just under two years ago to Nat West and the reply said they didn't have the information required and needed account numbers etc but asked me to send the Information to RBS at a different address
  8. Nat West The debt was pre 2004 not sure of initial start of it
  9. Morning I'd like to apologise for not adding this to the original thread I've had another look at the letters the one they want to confirm my address says if they don't here differently they will assume I live at the address. The other letter regarding debt simply has an outstanding amount saying it is collecting on behalf of Nat West retail, re reading my previous questions and answers should I be looking at sending Wescot an SAR followed by CCA request? Many thanks
  10. I sent a CCA to the last DCA they told me to contact Nat West who said they couldn't help and I should contact RBS
  11. Sorry Nat West was the original creditor
  12. Around two years ago, I had the obvious pointed out I was paying them to pay the debt collection agaencys
  13. Hi there I have received two letters from Wescot one wants me to phone them to confirm my address and the others wants payment of a old bar west loan can anyone recommend what I should do regarding these please. I had been paying through debt management from 2004 until a few years ago then paying a different DCA directly but they started returning my payments. Thanks in advance
  14. Had over 15 tradesmen out they all agree it's a mess but they won't repair it they all agree it needs removed and redone, I know where he lives he is no longer in business but it is now the principal because he is a bad man
  15. Hi my wife is currently going through the small claims court to try to recover some money from a joiner who installed a kitchen very badly and left us with a large bill to fix the problems we are struggling to find any tradesmen to fix the bad workmanship, we have followed initial legal advice and provided three quotes to fix the work , the judge asked for are surveyor to assess the problem and send a report which mostly agreeded with our case, although his idea of the costs involved are way off, he considered 228 would cover material costs and labour of a joiner, gas fitter and plumber which would be required. Last week the court sent an order asking for more quotes we live in a small place where there aren't too many tradesmen and none are keen to fix others work we are struggling to get any quotes the judge want us to pay 155 to get an extension and then another 170 for another hearing on top of the initial fee of 105 and 240 to the surveyor. I think the courts is being obstructive is their anything we can do?
