  1. and as for ringing credit card companies, in my experinece your average customer service advisor (usually based in India!!) knows less then an ameboa when requesting information which is not on there FAQ sheet hahaha!!! I will employ my best detective methods so solve this dilema!!
  2. Cheers Jas However, I am no longer in recipt of said statements as I am currently in an IVA witht he cards. In terms of a reg address on them can I just point out that, that is not always the best place for SAR's to be sent and often leads to requets being lost in the system. But thanks for your advance anyway!!
  3. Hi everyone, Having had a 'result' with the banks I have now started on the CCC's!! Therefore can anyone out there assist me in finding the address's for SAR's for the following Credit Card companies;- a) Halifax Credit Card b) Co-operative Banc Credit Card Cheers in advance!!!
  4. Hi milly sorry to bother you but do you have the address for SAR to be sent out to Goldfish. Just starting the process. Cheers
  5. Cheers Nattie Any idea how I go about getting put into the WON thread? Also there seems to be a problem with the donation process at the moment.
  6. Well people its official money been paid in (and taken out!!) of Natwest account. I guess all thats left is to be moved over to the sucess thread and donation passed over the CAG.
  7. Well done hopes!! I agree that in hindsight even good news can make you become more angry!! I felt that they put me in a similar position, except it was extra borrowing on mortage. I took a big chunck from my (our) equity paid of debts, but stupidly didnt 'bin' the cards completley. Subsquently I was back in s%%t street months later, but this time bigger mortages payments and less salary!! But it was great whilst it lasted!!! Like they say I spent it on wine, woman and song.... and I wasted the rest!!! I have learnt to except that I was naive, foolish. Muggins is spot on, they are not your friends but we get sucked into it. This whole proces has enabled me to face up to my 'materlisjm' and the comfort I am getting is spreading the word, and getting others to recalim whats theres AMEN
  8. Firstly well done hope!! Like you I have been made an offer end of last week, which was the full amount minue the 8%, Also like I asked that I not to be paid into default account however despite having a good go at them, they refused to bend. Whilst I agree with Muggins its your money the reality is (in my experince anyway) that they just keep going in circles citing the fact that you still owe on your account. And the truth is you do. Just pay it and tell them adios. I think that they have decided to pay out more readily to those who owe them money as an attempt to claw back what they can once again though GOOD ON YER....
  9. Great letter mate my brother is in a similar situation so I am just looking around these sites trying to get an idea how to help him get them of his back!!
  10. Cheers people, I am happy to settle, I think it is a good offer as it was 100% of the claim. of course they have not given the intreast that I have asked for, but I had a stratgey in my mind when I started the journey that was looking ot recoup around 90% of the 'charges' and if they had agreed at the prelim stage I wouldnt have even caluclated the intreast so I guess I need to put it into somekind of prespective. GMC your right i do feel good, but not resting on my laurels as I intend to continue as I am committed to helping my mother, partner make claims. And dont get me started on the Credit Card. I am amazed as the swiftness of there response and i do have a theroy why they settled... cos they know I had you guys (and the might of CAG) backing me up so they where bricking themselves:lol:
  11. Well guys, I would like to confirm that today when I returned home from work there was a letter from NatWest. And guess what people, they have decided after investigating my claim that they are prepared to offer me (without prejuidice of course) the grand total of......... wait for it..... £3330.01 :o the whole amount (minus intreast, but whose complaining!!!). Who knows the rhyme or reason behind the decsion, but who cares they are going to pay out!!! (yes I know dont get to excited until the cheque has been banked!!) What do all think of that then!!!
  12. Nattie You Have missed the point of my reply!! I always smile to myself when people say "this is me dont care what people think etc etc." Half expecting a blast of My Way, or I am What I am " to follow My point was that the author had spent time relaying their information on their thread. Whilst this opens them up to views/thoughts/opinions etc surley it has to be constructive, blunt, direct . But constructive. Its not about being some kind of nodding dog (!), just respectful abouts someones elses expreinece This process is diffcult enough without having your thoughts/expreinces almost riduclued. I guess I come from a diffrent mindest. that belives its better to say nothing at all if you cannot say anything positive. But I guess thats me, I am what I am or will do it my wayyyyyyyyyy
  13. Nattie not sure there is really any need for the sarcasim directed at the author. Without doubt you have knowledge of the system and this letter may actully confuse or get you lost. But your response is a little patronising! You need to be a touch more restrained, dont want to sound like a Customer Service Advisor, does one!!!!
