Default working tax payment over xmas

Can anyone advise what happens if my working tax is due to go into my account on boxing day? Do they deposit the money early? When i recieved it via giro, the payment came a week early over the xmas period.

Thanks

Often comes in the Thursday or Friday before the week in which the bank holiday is, if you get my meaning.

I usually get my tax credits on a Monday directly into my bank but over Christmas I got paid on:
22nd (Monday, as normal)
24th (Wednesday)
2nd Jan (Saturday)
and no payment on the Monday (5th)
So now I'm really confused and don't know if I'll get paid on Saturday or Monday now. I think I got this week's payment early (on the second).
