| | Basic Account Customer | Steve1145 v Lloyds TSB Sent Data Protection Act request on 9th May and received statements on 19th May. Never known Lloyds to be so prompt! Anyway, filing claim for £1660 plus the £90 they are about to take in June! Total £1750.
Fingers crossed eh! But not sure who to send the next stage to, same as last one? |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Steve1145 v Lloyds TSB Just filed the moneyclaim form for £1750 and £281 interest plus a court cost of £120 which when succesful will be refunded.
Can I suggest that people be made aware that the court costs can be this high as previously I have only noticed a fee of £30 mentioned.
Also, the wording in the 'Guidance for completing moneyclaim form' is quite lengthy especially when you add the courts interest statement as it instructs you to do. You can trim it down easily but to get under the required amount of characters but the difficult bit is to make it fit the 24 lines.
I had to remove the bit about repeatedly requesting they explain their charges as I had to remove a whole line from text. Hope this has no adverse affect on the claim.
Anyway, without your help none of this would be possible so dont want to seem like I am cristising, I'm not, just offering help for future claimants.
Sit tight now and wait

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Steve1145 v Lloyds TSB Should have made a note earlier actually but when completing the moneyclaim form and entering the address of the bank taken from the take a run and jump letter from David Just, the postcode given is B3 3SF and is the Customer Services Recovery Centre.
This when checked on moneyclaim comes up with only 2 addresses, both of which are solicitor firms Does this mean we are making inrodes ??? Or am I reading too much in to this? |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Steve1145 v Lloyds TSB OK, ball is well and truely rolling now.
Claim now filed and dfendant has 14 days to reply, I take it that is 14 days and not 14 working days therefore my date for reply is 19th June before they default.
A day after my birthday, how touching it would be for them to default and give a little present .......... fat chance I know!! |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Steve1145 v Lloyds TSB - Still waiting The claim has been acknowledged on 13th June so that now means another 14 days for them to reply, so time now elapses on 8th July which is a Saturday.
Can I progress it on a Saturday or will it wait until the Monday, I know it is all electronic but in reality, it takes someone office bound to process and action?
Ho hum, waiting again .......... |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Steve1145 v Lloyds TSB Somebody correct me if I am awrong but the way I have read through other threads is that they have 14 days from notification of claim to acknowledge receipt, if they do not acknowledge in that time they default and your win.
If they do acknowledge, as they have done, this then gives them a further 14 days, 28 in total, from receipt to submit a defence, if they do not submit a defence then they default and I win.
Fat chance of the latter happening but one can hope.
This is my first claim and I don't pretend to be knowledgable but just picking up and following other threads.
Hope this helps mate. |
