Smile Settlement offer received

I have finally received a settlement offer for £3,824.56 with conditions. Send back 3 in 1 card, confidentiallity and account review.

Have accepted offer agreeing to return card (done today handed in at local branch) and account review but refusing to acept confidentiality. Have also advised that once money transfer has been confirmed will advise court settlement has been reached. Spoke to lawyers to confirm receipt, advised they have and awaiting clients reply, should get back to me tomorrow.

Hi, firstly congratulations! Secondly, how far in the process were you before the offer was made? Had you returned the AQ? And thirdly have they offered you the whole amount you were claiming?

What a shame that you have offered to waive the allocation question fee. It is only an error on their part and they would have paid it. I think you should go back to them and say that you have made an error and the allocation fee is part of the deal or you go to court.

Everybody should make sure that they get all their costs. The banks are lucky that people are not able to claim for all with terrible inconvenience and difficulty to which they have been put by the banks own blind greed.

They have responded by dropping the confidentiality clause and the need for an account review from the settlement offer, and advised funds will be credited within 7 working days. They have also requested that I write to the court advising settlement reached and send a copy to them. I have already advised that I will do this when funds received.

It was full amount plus 8% interest and filing costs. I had returned the AQ and awaiting hearing date. By the way it is being dealt with by a Trainee solicitor.

Did you recover the fee for your allocation questionnaire? I hope you did. You should do.

Please don't forget to complete our survey and of course if you would like to make a donation we are always pleased to accept!

After yesterday's nearly six hours offlinewe are starting to look around for a new hosting company but it will be probably more expensive

They haven't included the AQ fee, but I have advised them that I an unavailable next week should a hearing date be set. I have pointed out they havent included this fee and will waive it if they credit my account by return email.
