Next letter to send will be the LBA - Letter Before Action. It's up to you as to whether you give them the 14 days from the intial letter before sending it, but as they've responded you should be fine to send it now.
The LBA gives them 14 days to refund you before you issue your Moneyclaim - you might want to read up a bit more about the process in the FAQs
Good luck, and keep us updated!
Edit: As long as you didn't sign anything for the £70, you should be fine |

I'm still a bit of a newbie at this, but there is a thread posted (by Reload i think) which shows all the 'template' letters that come from the bank and their solicitors. Just compare them to the one you've got and i'm sure you'll find it pretty standard. If you haven't already done so, just read as many of the threads on this forum as you can, i'm sure you'll find your answer.
If your letter is very different, again i think one of the 'mods' will pick up the thread and help you further.
Good luck in your quest.

| | Classic Account Customer | Re: Motown_ben V LloydsTSB The article in the libary gives a full breakdown of how to complete form N149
N150 is for more complex small claims or fast track so no need to fill in this one
It might help if you go down to the court just to get a feel for the place if you ask nicely they might even show you round
You dont have to attach your spreadsheet but for the sake of arguement later you might as well
Reload put this in other information Quote: |
May require the use of a CD player if transcript of an interview is disputed. In particular - former Lloyds TSB Bank plc "Head of Personal Banking" Peter McNamara (BBC Radio 2004). A breakdown of costs involved in calculating these penalty charges has been requested for purposes of compliance with the "Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982" s. 15, should these unlawful penalty charges (Ref: Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 and Unfair (Contracts) Terms Act 1977) be defended as a service charge. Lloyds have failed to provide this.
