You could wait until the 14 days are up, but really, there's not much point. They've given you their answer, so you might as well proceed to the next step. It's not as if they're going to write to you again next week and tell you they've changed their mind and you can have your dosh back after all.
Good luck, and don't forget to keep us updated on your progress. |

First, you need to READ THE FAQS - they will tell you everything you need to know. Once you're ready to claim your charges back, start a new thread so that you don't end up hijacking someone else's.
Good luck. |

Then send out the initial Data Protection Act request. (Data Protection Act) enclose a cheque for £10 which is the most you bank can charge - then you will get statements for the last 6 years - work out what they owe and send the next form (found in libry. also). At this stage I had some hassle from Halifax Visa getting the statements (they dont want us to claim basically!) and then they gave me the full amount Lloyds looks like it will be alonger battle - and will be a new experience to me also.

I dont knwo what to do either. I think I am going to send a letter back to her - repeating the initial request and then after the 14day stage look to proceed in the footsteps that other brave people have made before me.... | If I can make a wee suggestion...
You've written to them giving them 14 days. They've responded, which means they definitely received it, so they know what they have to do. A better tactic is to control the agenda and make them react to you, not the other way round. After 14 days, send the 'Letter Before Action'. This will show them that you're not going to be deflected by threats. Remember, YOUR money, YOUR claim, YOUR agenda.
Also, it's by no means certain that they're allowed to close your account or otherwise 'punish' you for claiming back unlawful charges. There are a number of threads on the forum from very knowledgeable people which I recommend you seek out and familiarise yourself with on this subject.
